I thought about making a texture pack about Precambrian life.
The Cambrian Period is from 538.8 Mya to 485.4 Mya, when multicellular life like Anomalocarids, Hallucigenia, and Trilobites existed.
The Geological Period preceding the Cambrian was the Ediacaran, from 635 to 538.8 Million Years Ago (Mya). This was when life was still figuring out symmetry, most life was sedentary (non-moving), and the ecosystem was dominated by microbial mats. This was where the original inspiration for this texture pack came from, D*ckinsonia (in case the name is censored).
One time period before the Ediacaran is the so-called Francevillian, which occurred 2.1 Billion Years Ago (Bya). So-called because it is impossible to determine if the findings from this period are from life, or abiotic processes like erosion and sedimentation (acritarchs).
Example of Francevillian "fossils":
This is texture pack is still in progress, as I am trying to figure out how to add more Ediacarans (which will take more time). Thank you for everyone's patience while I was updating the font textures for different languages; due to in-life circumstances, I might not be able to update the texture pack as often; I may do weekly updates. I am adding paintings, but I do not know how long it will take to change the textures since I am neither a pixel artist, nor do I use AI for textures. There are some things I still wish to add, but I do not when I will get to it; thus, I wanted to make sure I added most of what I wanted in case I cannot finish the texture pack in its entirety. Additionally, this pack is backwards and forwards compatible.
If you want to change the overlay, go to AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resource packs\assets\minecraft\textures\gui\title\background and either delete it, or put it in the overlay folder that I provided. If you want to change the panorama to the previous one I had, simply place the new panorama files into the new panorama folder that I provided, and take out the files from the older panorama folder. Similarly, if you want to re-add the previous version of the colormap with darker brown textures, go to AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resource packs\assets\minecraft\textures\colormap\older colormap, take those files out, and either delete the new colormap files, or put the new color map files in the new colormap folder that I provided.
I hope people like it! Thank you again for everyone's patience!
As always, comments are welcome.
