This texture pack brings all Prismarine variants up to new standards that allow for more interesting building possibilities, through the following changes:


Adding THREE new blocks to Vanilla Minecraft: Polished Prismarine, Prismarine Scale Pillars and Dark Prismarine Pillars!

Changing Prismarine Bricks to Prismarine Scales!



IMPORTANT: How to use the new variants


The new blocks are added as replacements for the double slab variants of each Prismarine block


Regular Prismarine double slabs create Polished Prismarine


Prismarine Bricks have become Prismarine Scales and Prismarine Brick Double Slabs have become Prismarine Scale Pillars


Dark Prismarine double slabs have become Dark Prismarine Pillars




If you enjoy having more options for building blocks in vanilla, please show your support for this pack through subscriptions, diamonds, etc. so that I know that I should keep uploading these sorts of packs.



Also be sure to have a look at my extra sandstone variants pack, as that one has even more options for you, and keep an eye out for any new uploads from me. I will be adding these packs to a collection and once I have uploaded all the blocksets I have worked on I will also upload a complete pack with ALL of the new variants

I'm testing this pack in RestWorld resource pack test world, and I love the new double slab variants, but the vanilla variant is missing from the pack. I downloaded it a second time, but he double slab and double slab top variants are there, but not the Prismarine Scales.

Am I crazy?!

Edit: I'm using Better Default pack, and it is overriding the Scales texture, even though your pack is above it in the resource pack list. When I remove that pack, your scales texture shows up. Looking inside the files, I think it's because that pack has a bunch of variants.

Yeah I think if you have a pack that changes the models or block states for Prismarine Bricks, that's likely to override the Scales texture. Random variants do that. If you want to disable that, make a copy of the Better Default pack and remove the files for Prismarine Bricks from the blockstates and models folder, and use that underneath my pack

Yeah I deleted all the prismarine png's and prismarine variants folders (in blockstates, models, textures) from that pack after I posted that message. Fixed the problem.

The fish scale design was intended, yes. I think the old prismarine brick texture was meant to be a fishtail but it just ended up being a strange diagonal pattern that doesn't tile well even with itself. That's why I wanted to completely overhaul it
