Current Features
1. Freddy Fazbear replaces the iron golem. You can rename the iron golem with a nametag to get Chica, Foxy, or Monty.
2. Monty, Chica, and Roxy replace the enderman. You can rename an enderman to get a specific character, including Freddy!
3. The Daycare Attendant replaces the spider. He'll turn into Sun during the day and Moon during the night.
PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLING "Glamrock Freddy n' Friends"
Thank you all so much for the overwhelming praise on my "Glamrock Freddy Fazbear n' Friends" resource pack! Thanks to your support, I've come a long way since I first became active back in December of 2020. All of your help has pushed me to continue making my resource packs the best they can possibly be.
Now, you have all given me a lot of valuable feedback in the replies, and there have also been a lot of repeats. To prevent the reply section from becoming flooded with more repeat questions, I will list all of your commonly asked questions in this post (and in the description of the resource pack), and I will attempt to answer them as clearly as possible.
Questions and Answers:
Q. The resource pack is not working.
A. First, make sure you have a stable version of Optifine installed for the latest version of Minecraft (1.18.1). Open the Minecraft launcher and check your installations. If you see Optifine 1.18.1 in the list, then you have installed it correctly. Next, select this new Optifine installation and launch the game. Once the game has launched, turn on the "Glamrock Freddy Fazbear n' Friends" resource pack. Then, go to "Video Settings". Go to "Quality", and make sure "Custom Entity Models" and "Random Entities" are both turned on. Once they are turned on, the resource pack should work.
Q. How do I turn an iron golem/enderman into Chica/Monty/Roxy/Freddy?
A. Put a name tag into an anvil. Rename it "Chica", "Monty", "Roxy", or "Freddy". Make sure the name is capitalized, and remove the quotes (" "). Use the name tag on an iron golem or an enderman, and it should work.
Q. How do I prevent an animatronic from becoming hostile?
A. You can make hostile mobs peaceful using the "/team" command. As an example, let's say you want to make the daycare attendant passive. Type "/team add", plus the name of the team you want to create. For example: "/team add Passive". Next, you want to add the daycare attendant to your new team. The daycare attendant replaces the spider, so you would type "/team join Passive @e[type=minecraft:spider]" to add all spiders to the Passive team. Lastly, type "/team join Passive @a" to add all players to the Passive team. Now that all players are on the same team as the spiders, the spiders will no longer attack.
Q. Could you make this for Bedrock Edition?
A. I might make a version of this resource pack for Bedrock Edition. However, I still need to learn how to make resource packs for Bedrock, so don't expect it to be released any time soon.
Q. Could you make the enderman or iron golem randomly spawn as the other animatronics?
A. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to make the enderman or iron golem randomized AND have damaged textures. An enderman might spawn as Chica, but change to Freddy after taking damage. If you want randomized animatronics, I will need to upload an alternate version of this resource pack the gets rid of the damaged textures. I may also create a version of this resource pack that replaces the iron golem with an endoskeleton by default for those who wish to have a more "natural" looking iron golem in villages.
Q. Could you add DJ Music Man/Vanny/Burntrap/Security Bots/Vanessa?
A. Don't worry, I plan to add all of the major characters from security breach. I will not be adding any obscure easter egg characters or any fan characters. I will also most likely release Gregory as a player skin separate from this resource pack.
Q. Could you add the animatronics from FNaF 1, FNaF 2, FNaF 3, etc.?
A. I will not be adding any animatronics from the other games to this resource pack. There would just be way too many characters to add; but, you might see another FNaF-related resource pack from me in the future...
Q. Will you add custom sounds?
A. I will add some custom sounds. The only problem is that my options are currently limited to footsteps, machine sounds, and jumpscare sounds. To add unique voice lines for each character, I would need to create a datapack that detects every iron golem or enderman and plays unique voice lines depending on their name. Currently, I don't know how to make datapacks, and I'm not sure if it would be worth the effort.
