Welcome to Herds 707, the most expansive addition to Entities 101 yet! With farm animals providing the backbone of ambient life and farming in Minecraft, it is easy to understate their importance to the game. Ranging from the hens who lay eggs to bake delicious cakes to horses whose powerful legs speed up travel by ground, these animals cover a wide variety of usefulness and gameplay experience.

Though incomplete now, we will, with time, add more and more of the creatures to this pack until it reaches its conclusion. You will be able to see all added animals below.

If you want to keep up to date on updates and sneak peeks, consider joining our community Discord server.

THIS RESOURCE PACK REQUIRES OPTIFINE WITH CUSTOM ENTITY MODELS ENABLED.

The cows of Minecraft are one of its oldest and most beloved creatures. From the ambiance of cattle roaming the plains, to having partners when climbing the thickest of trees, to when you need to fill up your belly, these animals have been there a long time and Minecraft wouldn't be the same without them. Despite their rich history, their designs are quite basic and their models outdated and not what many would call accurate to their real life counterparts. If more realistic immersion is what you seek, then your search is over; your treasure is here. With 5 all new biome-based skins and two secret ones (we'll leave it up to you to find these in-game) these bovines should be much more interesting.

Equally as important, if not more mysterious, cousins are the island dwelling mooshrooms. Their fungal environment has these cattle sprouting colorful mushrooms in the case of the red variants, or less colorful fungi in that of brown mooshrooms. They have fresh redesigns to match their non-mushroom covered counterparts, and even have some floral relatives that can be discovered in game with some adventure and patience.

Thank you very much. We are working on it, but it takes time especially with limited time and a rather large number of projects to work on.

These textures are AMAZING. After you finish farm animals, I'd love to see you do horses. Can I support you on Patreon or something?

I'm glad you're excited; horses will actually be part of Herds 707 and will be one of the next additions to it. And thank you for the offer, but we don't have a Patreon right now for a few reasons.

An astute observation. The dairy cow is the only one that has modeled udders (although I admit they aren't visible in the render). The rest have them as a subtle part of the texture rather than a model since wild cattle, not having been bred for milking, didn't have as large or prominent udders since they would only really produce milk when raising a calf.
