This video (filmed in 1.18.1) showcases most of the textures and features from the Grimdark Battlepack.

OVERVIEW

My GRIMDARK BATTLEPACK combines all of my textures into a single pack along with a few extra exclusive features. This pack is a fresh take on the traditional Minecraft aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from other dark fantasy worlds, my Battlepack provides textures with more detail that will look great in your medieval worlds while maintaining play-ability (gold armor is immediately recognizable as gold armor for example). This pack contains not only the arms & armor textures from my GRIMDARK TOOLS and GRIMDARK ARMOR packs, but also includes my custom textures for several crafting tables and decorative blocks which makes it easy to pair with a builder's pack of your choosing or to simply enhance your look while building with (mostly) vanilla block textures.

This pack also includes damaged item textures (Optifine not-required), tool and weapon variants as well as multiple armor variants for each material so you can customize your look (Optifine Required). These variant item and armor textures are accessible by renaming those items at an anvil. For example, renaming your Diamond Helmet to include "Heavy" somewhere in the name will change the texture to the heavy variant, renaming your leather boots to include the word "Light" will change the texture to the light variant, renaming your Diamond Sword to include "Katana" will change the texture to the katana variant, etc. Any naming conventions that do not include a variant identifier will use the standard texture.

Finally, the Battlepack also includes custom Biome colormaps to create some 'fall' themed biomes as well as 'spring' themed biomes (Optifine Required).

Added Pirate gear including a compass, armor variants and a cutlass for all material types.
Added an entirely new armor variant to allow you to hide your armor entirely.

when i rename my items it doesnt change its look in the inventory but it has changed when i wear it is there a way to fix it

Im kinda new to this modpack, but do we need optifine to change the texture of the tools? or does it work naturally in java? (currently i can't download optifine because it not agreeing with my PC.)

Optifine is required to access the variants through this pack alone. I have released some of the variant textures as standalone packs. You could check out the Pirate Pack, Samurai Pack, or Heavy Armor pack if you'd like.

Hahaha, at present, it's true that I happen to have an opinion on whether these breastplates can remove the part linked with the belt in the middle. I think it will lose identity.
