It began with the texturing of the great packs. Three were given to the cartoons, detailess, smoothest and most beautiful of all packs. Seven to the photo realistic, great detailed and awesome. And nine, nine packs were gifted to the simplistic, who above all else, desire downloads. For within these packs was bound the strength and the will to govern Planet Minecraft. But they were all of them deceived, for another pack was made. Deep in the United States, on the pixels of a monitor TheAwesomeKielbasa forged, in secret, a master pack and into this pack he poured his skill and awesomeness and will to get the most downloads.
One resource pack to rule them all.One by one, the free content creators of Planet Minecraft fell to the power of the one. But there were some who resisted. A last alliance of content creators and users marched upon the post, and on the slopes of the comment section they fought for the freedom of Planet Minecraft. Victory was near. But the power of the one could not be undone.
It was in this moment when all hope had faded, that Johney, friend of the moderator, took up his pals keyboard. TheAwesomeKielbasa, the enemy of the artists of Planet Minecraft, was defeated.
The Upload passed to Johney, who had this one chance to destroy it forever. But the hearts of men, are easily corrupted. And the Resourcepack has a will of its own. It betrayed Johney, to the loss of him being a moderator. And some things that should have been forgotten, were remembered. History became urban legend...urban legend became rumor. And for two and a half
thousand milliseconds the Pack passed out of all knowladge and downloads. Until, when chance came, it ensnared a new uploader.
The Pack came to the creature Dave, who took it deep into the forums of Planet Minecraft. And there, it consumed him. The Pack brought Dave unatural popularity. For five hundred seconds it poisoned his mind. And in the gloom of Daves upload...
It waited. Darkness crept back into the communities of Planet Minecraft. Rumor grew of a shadow in the north...whispers of a named fear. And the Resource Pack percieved...it's time had now come. It abandoned Dave.
But something hapened that the Pack did not intend...
It was downloaded by the most unlikely creature imaginable...
A Modder...Finesling Sackins of New Zealand. For the time will soon come when Modders will shape the fortunes of all.
The first resourcepack I ever created and uploaded was The Lord of the Rings 16x16. Since it was my first, it was, in fact, terrible. This (when finished) will be sort of a re-creation + update of that origional resource pack. However, this one is available in four different resolutions and doesn't use any photo realism other than the sun and moon. With this resourcepack, you can travel to Erebor and defeat Smaug, or go to Mordor and kill Sauron (Haven't textured Sauron yet, but Smaug is done).
And by the way, if you can't tell, the text above (up until
The first resourcepack I ever created) is based on Galadriels opening monologue of The Fellowship of the Ring. And it took me a long time to write (or modify, I suppose).

I also recommend using Optifine, as it increases fps and allows for alternate textures, custom sky textures and more.Click the download link. This will redirect you to Adfly.
After five seconds, click the skip add button at the top of the screen.
You will then be redirected to Mediafire.
Check the box next to the resolution you want of BackyardCraft and click download.
By downloading, you automatically agree to the following:
You agree that you will not re-upload any or all of the textures in this resourcepack.
You also agree that if you repost this resource pack you will provide a link back to this page.
If you use this resourcepack in a video, you will also provide a link back to this page.
