You're right! The models aren't changed. This is a texture effect enabled by some shaderpacks, called Parallax Occlusion Mapping. :) Install BSL and enable the effect in the settings to see it! :D

I love the textures themselves but the shaders aren't on. I have it in my folder and have extracted everything. Do I need Optifine?

Shaders are a seperate mod, enabled by optifine. This texturepack supports certain features of the shaders mod, and does not include it.

To have shaders, you have to have optifine first. This doesn't include shaders. It has SUPPORT for more obscure features of some shaderpacks. :)
