Want more out of Minecraft? Everyone does at one time or another. So I am sharing my compositions explicitly for Minecraft. Perfect for first time mod creators. In fact it is so simple to install if you can't figure it out yourself… well look below…
Installation url: (The path your minecraft folder is)/resources/newmusic
Installation instructions: Extract files to the mentioned folder. Thats it!
Contents: Music files, specifically .ogg files.
Research: It took me a long time to figure out Minecraft was flexible in sounds. It was actually by accident really, I sent one of my songs to the mentioned folder one day and I thought I lost it for good. one day though while I was playing Minecraft, my song started to play. Well I was very excited, And I replicated those conditions until I figured out it works with .wav files too, long story short I have learned Music can be named whatever in its folder, sound effects need to be named the same in their folder.
SUBNOTE: the .ogg File can be converted to .wav and it will still play the same in Minecraft, May I suggest using "Any Video Converter" (AVC) If you want to make these changes for yourself.

First off I want to thank all of you for your responses; they are helpful in solving everyday problems.
I have compiled a list of probable answers to your questions.
Sorted by most likely:
1) I just realized that I accidently set the version number to 1.14.00 this may be crucial because Minecraft has changed ever since 1.5.2 (which I am stuck on). This follows under the "Last known update clause" because I am basing my uploads on what I see in my (Mac) Minecraft version and hoping it hasn't changed.
SUBNOTE: If we take a tally of the amount of downloads that were done to the amount of problem questions here, It seems to me that everyone just ignores these instructions to what they do know. Why don't you ask someone who has an updated version of Minecraft? please and thank you.
2) The folder is probably hidden.
Windows: this can be fixed by going into your Control Panel open 'File Explorer Options' Click the view tab, then click the radio button under hidden folders to 'show'. Then try again.
3) You do not have a complete version of Minecraft.
Don’t get mad bro, this is actually somewhat common. If you have a demo of Minecraft this may not work, and whether you like it or not, some "free uploads" are just pirated knockoffs.
