REALISTIC and DETAILED texture resource pack based on HQ photo textures, interpreting the original minecraft spirit as being a little rustic and with a slight medieval tend and not being too modern.

1) 384x needs at least as 1gb -1,5gb graphics card. Click button "original release thread" and read the longer explanations somewhere in 1. post.
MC and optifine don't behave exactly the same in every release version - MC 1.8 eats more memory than 1.7 and 1.6 was a lot more easy going.
2) use 256x version instead, which still looks very good. ;)
3) okay, MC also needs more allocated Java system mem, which limit is independed from windows/os.
You need to use Java64bit to burst up to recomendend 3gb java mem.
You add this parameter into your MC starter profil: "edit profile" -> find "JWM arguments" on bottom, activate it and paste "-Xms3G -Xmx3G" into field. this allocates more maximal java application memory. suitable for windows PCs with >=4gb memory. (cant tell about other systems).
