In case you did not know, Minecraft carpet textures are really just sliced wool blocks sourced from the same texture! So that is probably why you don’t see many carpet mods… because anything you do to make a carpet requires you to interfere with the wool block texture.

Enjoy 16 new patterns to spruce up your interior designs and finally use all carpet colors to their full potential. This texture pack uses connected textures to fool Minecraft’s carpet. The trick with this texture pack is that it is completely separating Minecraft carpet textures from the wool textures, which it does not normally do. BECAUSE OF THIS: MC still views your carpets as the wool texture in your inventory! Don't panic, it works when you place them down!

reviewed files and optifine compatibility, shouldn't show any errors or "oh no, an old pack" red lines. all good for 1.18 and optifine 1.18+

Hi! I'm trying to use Optifine workarounds and I was wondering what Optifine feature this pack uses to achieve the separation between the wool and the carpets. I've been able to make most other Optifine packs work with alternatives like Embeddium, EMF and ETF, but I'm trying to get this texturepack to work but the carpets just show up with their original textures when placed in the world :(

I managed to do it! For anyone having a similar issue, the mods I used to make this work on Forge 1.20.1 are Sinytra Connector (make sure to get the correct version of Forge or use the fork of Sinytra on curseforge for later versions) and Continuity! It seems that the connected textures mod for Forge that I was using wasn't working correctly, so I had to use a Fabric connected textures mod, which would require me to change my modloader (not ideal as some mods are only made for Forge, others only for Fabric/Quilt). Instead I used Sinytra Connector which allows you to use Fabric mods with the Forge modloader!!

Oh hi dear! I am so so glad you found a workaround. I personally use quilt so Continuity is a great option for Fabric based loaders. I will look into good resources for Forge based loaders when I release my updated version so others have that info. :0 That's a massive workaround you somehow figured out and I appreciate the knowledge haha!!

It should work as long as you have an optifine of the same launch version OR a connected textures mod for running sodium :)

She is using Mizuno's 16 craft for the texture pack. I don't know about the shaders though.
