I don't really get these texture packs that just change the color of one of the things in the default. I mean, if someone just wanted their diamond stuff to be red, why would they download a whole new texture pack when it would take about 10 minutes to just change the color themselves?

probably laziness for one, I honestly can't explain it myself...there's a list of reasons

laziness: why take my time to re-color it, when I can just download it for an even SHORTER time investment to acquiring my re-colored textures?

n00bishness: no offense to certain people, but those whom honestly cannot make texture packs because they don't understand how to use anything besides paint, or how to edit the textures of such things as mobs, or etc...

SURPRISE!: they honestly were just looking around wherever, and happened to find the pack, now that they have, they will install it. (this is actually what happened to me, i was looking for notch's first image of the enchantment table on google images... I landed here along the way)

those are just the reasons I can provide... I am sure there are others, but these are just my explanations.

yep...

it's better THIS get a diamond, then say an 'adult' texturepack (and such packs exist, too O.o)
a bit dramatic, don't you think? but...ok... *kills you with my diamond axe*
