I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I've watched it when I was a kid with my grandfather and it just stuck with me, it's been a part of my life and was my introduction to the sci-fi genre. I love the franchise and wanted to create something that was unique yet part of the universe. Doing research, I discovered a whole new series in the franchise based on Japanese culture and anime films. There was a character called Ronin whose lightsaber had a concept art from the official website.

Based on the concept art I started modeling the lightsaber, I loved the design. It was something that I had never seen in a lightsaber before, but it fit so well into the universe. When modeling, I tried to keep it blocky to fit Minecraft's style, I improvised some parts because I was working with blocks, but I loved how it turned out and the design of the sheath. I hope you guys like it!

I added some emissive textures so the lightsaber, so it glows in dark areas, if you use it for like a video or anything, let me know! I would love to check it out :))
