There are many features in this resource pack that require either Mcpatcher or Optifine to function.
However, if you prefer not having randomised textures, don't bother installing Optifine or Mcpatcher.

All textures completed. Custom sounds added.

The texture pack looks good but when you choose it, all of the words for the buttons are boxes. I don't know if it's the design or just an error, but it's really hard to know which button means what...

Hmm. There's no problems for me or others as nobody else have complained. Your client is probably modded therefore, making errors. If not, i'm not sure. What update are you using?

My client is not modded and my friend has the same issue. I was just using 1.7.10, and I tried using 1.7.9 and 1.7.2 but it was still the same.

I tried using the other updates with and without Optifine but there seems to be no problems. Try installing optifine of mcpatcher - With optifine I recommend installing using the auto installer, as it is easier. Good luck.
