Add a slightly bonkers look to your Minecraft.

In a sea of pseudo-photo-realistic resource packs comes Loki's Pack, a kind of strange little cartoony pack. This pack started as a means to have more stone and wood types for a creative map, and then built up from there.

128x texture pack in a hand-drawn, cartoon style, with custom sounds and MCPatcher/Optifine support. Download link has legacy download versions.

This pack now has full mod support for Quark! Quark is a simple mod that adds a lot of new things to Minecraft, including stairs and slabs for more blocks, and more types of bricks.

It's lovely and there is clearly a lot of hard work and dedication put into this pack but ... can we talk about the font? Wispy smallcaps? Pretty if used sparingly, but difficult to communicate effectively on my server while watching the performance monitoring overlay. Plus when you're trying to ban someone called xXkI1lrXx (they do that stupid crap to their username just to annoy the people who have to ban them) and every second counts, fonts become very important.

Also not sure if I can get used to sword = hammer, or the low contrast of the GUI (I'll admit it -- I'm old. My eyes are not what they once were.) Also, the terracotta is gorgeous but why is it all the same color? I've been looking for one of the really artistic packs to come out with some seriously cool patterns, and this would be it if only there were assorted colors.

I sound like I'm complaining (and I suppose I am) however this pack is still very creative and well-done, I do appreciate the talent and skill that went into creating it. Definitely diamond-worthy.

Yaass! I don't ususally like cartoon packs but this is absolutely the bomb. Diamond for you.
Only one problem - coal ore texture is missing.

I like the resource pack, Loki! The only problem I have with it is the color of the dirt. It's too red. Do you think you could make it more of a light/dark brown color?

Thanks! I need to finish it, but some of the timing of it is confounding me. Hopefully, it'll be amazing when it's sorted out.

First and foremost...thanks for the great pack! As soon as I saw it, I knew I found a style that was soon to become my permanent look for minecraft. Congrats, and good work!

Also, have you given any thought to supporting any of the more popular mods as addon packs? If you are, let me voice my hope that you give Botania a fresh look. I think the nature element would fit right in with your theme. This mod in particular needs some love as I've found it very difficult to find any texture packs that directly support it.

Thanks for your time and dedication!

Good news. With much hard work, I've managed to get Forge to run on my PC. I can only run one mod at a time, but it runs!

I've added support for Quark, and am working on Biomes O' Plenty. I'll probably wait until Botania catches up to 1.9 to add support for it, because the model system is so different before 1.9 that I don't want to maintain several vastly different versions of the pack.

I have, but unfortunately, I can't at this time. My computer barely has the oomph to run my own pack, and collapses under Forge entirely. On my to-do list, once I get a better machine, is Biomes o' Plenty, and maybe Thaumcraft. I'll put Botania on the wishlist as well, but I wouldn't look forward to it happening any time soon.

Thank you for your expedient reply, neighbor. I totally understand what you're saying. Feel no pressure to expedite it...if I ever get it I'll just look at it as an added boon!

Also, would it be possible to include the option to have fancy, transparent leaves? It helps to find the hidden logs in a canopy. Thanks again, and I hope you find a better computer soon and are able to enjoy some of the more demanding mods and such. Take care!

They ought to be transparent in fancy. But I'll take a look and see if something's accidentally changed in the latest patch.
