What Is It?

This is a simple resource pack that fixes a very prevalent and annoying issue with the current Minecraft texture system: The transparent lines/white lines/stitching (the lines are indeed transparent but I've seen them referred to as white before). This doesn't affect all items but it does affect all tools, weapons, and some misc items. See below for a comparison:

After Fix

As you can see, it's a very noticeable difference, especially if visual glitches really bug you like they bug me. There are of course still some items that will suffer from this issue even while using the pack since it is very time consuming to fix items. I've had to prioritize items that you'll have in your hand often to save time although I plan to do more in the future.

What's fixed so far?

So far I've fixed the most prominent examples of this issue including:
  • All Swords
  • All Axes
  • All Pickaxes
  • All Shovels
  • All Hoes
  • Fishing Rod
  • Flint & Steel
  • Shears
  • Golden Carrot
  • Firework Rocket
  • Bow
  • Crossbow
  • (Tridents didn't suffer from this issue to begin with)
(These fixes will only work for the default resource pack, refer to "How does it work?" for info on why)

How does it work?
By default Minecraft generates models from .png textures. For some reason this process results in the texture stitching issue. Therefore for each item I want to fix I have to create a custom model that appears identical to the default model with Blockbench by importing a texture and extruding it with the "Pixel" filter. I don't know why this fixes the problem but it does. If you want to help contribute feel free to follow the process above for any items I haven't done yet that you think need to be fixed. You could also use this same approach to generate models for custom textures in texture packs other than default and upload your own stitching fix for that texture pack. If you do so please post a link to your pack in the comments so that people here can find fixes for custom texture packs they use.

Why doesn't Mojang fix this?
While I don't know for sure I'd guess that fixing whatever bug is causing these transparent lines is much more difficult than it looks and that it probably isn't one of Mojang's priorities right now. If you'd like to support the cause of getting this bug fixed then please vote for this bug: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-1794, and this one too https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-6579 (not the same issue but another annoying visual glitch). Hopefully if enough people vote this bug will be fixed in the 1.15 bug fix update!

Can I use this fix in my own pack?
Yes! That'd be amazing, if you do it all yourself then I don't want any credit of course but if you end up using files from my resource pack it'd be great if you could credit me in a readme file or on the page where you upload your pack. Thanks :)

From what I've tested everything works with programmer art except for the golden carrot which has a bit of it missing.
