Simple and nice 8x8 blocks!

8-bitCraft is an 8x8 based resource pack. It revamps the current Minecraft blocks into more simple ones.

Even though it is only 8x8, don't feel like it's a downgrade from the classic Minecraft 16x16!
The colours of 8-bitCraft are very vibrant, the textures have certain beauty in their simplicity!

The pack includes textures for blocks, entitites like Shulker, and even 3D models!
Low-end computers shouldn't have any problem running this resource pack. Most textures are 8x8 blocks, which can even boost up your frames-per-second up a little!

If you like it, make sure to click that diamond, and any feedback is appreciated! You can also check out my other projects! Thanks!

is there a version of this for 1.8? I hate the versions of Minecraft above 1.8.9
i don't like glowstone, coarse dirt, cobblestone (and all things with the cobblestone texture on it),and gravel,
all of the textures for those things are a bit to messy and all over the place. i also hate the helmets. a bit to odd.
(i LOVE the glass tho)

Hi. the reason why those textures may seem - or well are messy, is that, to put it simply, they are 8x8. I know I can make the textures more smoother, but that would require to make them different from the original Mc textures, and that's what I don't want. I'm going to make cobblestone and bedrock smoother, those white spots weren't nice. However, I agree with you, and I will keep that in mind - if I am ever going to make "8-bitCraft 2" or something like that, I will implement more smooth textures.
Will there be a possibility that this will be downloaded on minecraft pe?

Hi, this resource pack is for Java Edition of the game, and will not work on the Bedrock Edition. I don't know if I will ever make this for Bedrock too, but I will see later.
Hey I don’t know how to add it on minecraft can you please tell me how to do it I’m just new here

Hi, you have to locate the %appdata% folder by pressing the Windows button + R at the same time, the typing %appdata% and pressing enter. Then go to .minecraft folder, then to resourcepacks folder and copy the pack there. Or you can open the location by starting minecraft, going to settings>resource packs and then pressing the Open Resource Packs folder button.
Hello! I have a suggestion. I was wondering if you could take this pack further. What I mean by that, is change the sounds to 8-bit, or, lower-quality, bitcrushed versions of the normal minecraft sounds.

Hi! Great suggestion, but to be honest, I have very little experience with editing sound. Also, I don't exactly know how something "8-bit" sounds, because first thing that comes to my mind when I hear that are sounds like in old Super Mario games, and I don't think that's somehow possible or it would sound good. However, I can try making the sounds more squeaky? That would be definitely possible, though I don't know if it would fit. What do you think?
EDIT: Ok, nevermind :D I played around with the sounds a little bit and figured out, I can change the sound sampling rate to around 8000Hz and it sounds kinda "old". I will try that with other sounds tomorrow.
looks like its going to be very good cant wait to use it on minecraft

Hi! Thanks for the feedback, I can make the cobblestone more plain, it looks a little bit better, however it's more similiar to andesite.
