This is a 32x Texture Pack for the 1.12 version
But also compatible with older versions: 1.11, 1.10, 1.9, 1.8, 1.7..., despite the warnings.

I've tried to keep certain amount of resemblance to the default Minecraft pack, avoiding confusion when changing between textures and a radical breach between what a builder player would design according to what he sees and what other players with the default will see.

Regarding the mobs, in most cases I have barely modified the default design, because I think it's OK and part of the image of Minecraft.

Partial texture support (only for textures that are integrated into default blocks like ores) for these MODs:
- Biomes O'plenty
- Nether Ores
- Simple Ores
- Thaumcraft
- Fossil

All the textures here have been drawn by me.

This pack uses conected textures for some blocks, that can work with McPatcher or Optifine (I use only Optifine).
Since 1.8 also uses random textures for some blocks, but still are better the Optifine features.

100% of the blocks are drawn.
100% of the items are drawn.

Installation instructions:

1. If you want to use the "connected textures" features you need a Minecraft version patched with "McPatcher" or with "Optifine", but it's optional.

2. Move this zip file (no need to unzip it) into your Minecraft resourcepacks folder.
To reach that folder you have two ways:
A. On "Windows Start"/ "Run (or search)" put this:
%appdata%/.minecraft/resourcepacks/
B. On Minecraft, go to "Options"/ "Resource Packs" / "Open Resource Packs folder".

3. On Minecraft, go to "Options" / "Resource Packs" and click over the pack's icon to move it from the left column to the right.

Replacing textures:

I've added a folder called Old_textures with some textures that I put aside, but maybe someone wants to use instead.
1. Go to your Minecraft resourcepacks folder and, if you haven't unzipped the Jalele zip file yet, create a new folder -called Jalele32x for example- and unzip the ZIP file of the pack inside it.

2. Once inside this new folder, you'll find two subfolders: assets and old_textures.
Go inside Old_textures and inside cobblestone -supposing that's what you want to replace. You'll find a new assets subfolder. Select and COPY it.

3. Go back to the main Jalele32x folder and do PASTE. You'll be asked to combine and overwrite the assets folder and subfolders. Mark YES to all. Only the cobble files will be replaced.

Terms of use:

Don't use the media of this pack for remixes or parts of other packs.
If you modify any part of this pack, keep it for personal use.
Don't redistribute this pack in other sites, neither link it through Ads redirectors.
Please, give credits if you use this pack in any public appearance, like videos.

Read the "replacing textures" explanation up, and apply to the folder "connected_glass_optifine_1.7".

Is there a planned release for the 1.11 update on this pack? I've been using it since early 1.8, and I still enjoy it. I'd hate to see it go unfinished D:

All the blocks and items are done, but not some minor mobs like rabbits or cats... or the dragon.
In any case, that 5% missing also means that I keep updating and improving the pack from time to time :)
Okay, thanks :D

I've had a slight issue with the connected textures. Mainly the glass. Does seamless glass not work with optifine and this pack?
  • jarel

Since the 1.8 the Optifine releases have given many glitches with the connected glass textures, so I put aside the connected glass from the pack.
When the 1.9 was released I'll try to restore it if Optifine were OK again.
HELP ME!!!  It seems like a cool texture pack! I really wanna try it! But- When i clicked 'open resource pack folder'  It said the folder was empty! PLEASE HALP MOI!!!

Then I don't know what could be the problem, sorry.

Anyway, only for discarding you weren't expecting this: the connecting feature that decides the texture of a block depending on its adjacent being a different or the same kind of block -usually creating borders- it's only implemented at the default glass panes.

For other blocks like cobble, wood, etc... there are only absolute texture changes. That's it: two cobble blocks together will have different texture draw but it doesn't affect wich texture if the next block is another cobble too or whatever.

In the slab blocks there's no variation at all.

@qwexex, in the last version I've added a folder with some old textures including the cobblestone, so you can replace them manually. There's a textfile in that folder explaining how to do it easily.
And I've explained it up in the description of the pack too.

Hi, I have a few suggestions for this pack, you can disregard this if you don't agree. First, I think some connected textures on the glass would look amazing.  Also, I think the wool should be smoother, it doesn't look great in builds. Also, I would love if you could do all the mobs, because you have done a lot of them and it looks weird having some default and some not. My last suggestion is the coal, it looks a little odd and ugly compared to the rest of the ores which look beautiful. But overall this is my favorite texture pack, I can't wait to see it when all the items are drawn!

Hi Benonz.
About the wool, the problem is, in one hand, that each block has its own range of characterization, and if I do the wool smoother it would step on the zone of the clays texture, and furthermore I would move away in excess from the Default wool texture. As I say in the description I don't want to do textures that do results that the people with the Default texture pack or another faithful style one can't share. And in fact it's true the wool material doesn't look good  for buildings if what you want -for example- is to simulate painting walls or modern facade panels. But this "miss-feature" is in the Default  texture, and this pack intends to be faithful and clear.
Maybe I'll change the wool texture in the future, but won't be smoother but a different kind of plaited yarn pattern.

I don't have in mind changing the coal ore.

The normal glass has already connected textures support, with a narrow frame (that means more visibility ;D), It's only missing on the new coloured panes.

About the mobs, I'll keep on doing the rest, but little by little :)

Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you for the reply! I look forward to seeing the mobs! Also, maybe you could consider having connected textures on the glass where the frames get taken away completely? So the only frame you would see would be the very edge, not inside? I hope what you understand what I mean.

Thanks again- great job! Loving this pack!
