Published on 12/2/2016 - 12/2/16 2:46 pm , last updated: 09/30/17 11:05:20 pm
The Oracle of Seasons pack was originally from Heavenly Spoon.
I have received permission to update the pack!

A resource pack based around the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of seasons, Oracle of Ages, and Link's Awakening.
Most of the pack is straight from the games, but some of the content is original artwork.

Update #17, 2.0 is live : 09/30/2017 11:05:20 pm9/30/17

Think of this update as Version 2.0 of the pack. There is now heavy use of custom colors, connected textures, and custom sounds! Among other changes.

I have also removed the dumb "JAVA EDITION" from the title screen

Update #16: Back to its Roots : 06/12/2017 7:34:03 pm6/12/17

The original owner contacted me privately and gave me some files and advice. This update is not live just yet, but will include the following revamps to the pack (lots of features require optifine):

Better biome colors
Certain block colors effected by biome
New flowers, fish, and horse armor
Random mobs
pigmen are different mobs in the overworld and nether
Sound Pack!
Small animations (anvil, main menu, subrosian pigmen)
Hardened clay and terracotta have been swapped back to make use of extra textures for clay
Terracotta textures are MOST LIKELY place holder and will not stay as they are
and probably more that I forgot to include

Thank you all for being wonderful about the pack. I am excited to work on this update for you. Its a version 2.0 of sorts

Beds : 06/10/2017 9:24:54 pm6/10/17

Totally forgot about different colored beds. Now added in the pack

1.12 : 05/30/2017 12:18:25 am5/30/17

- recipe book gui added
- advancements gui added
- parrots added

Edit: Parrots were accidentally placed in the wrong folder. Should be fixed now

Full Pack! 1.11.2 : 03/27/2017 11:35:10 pm3/27/17

As of the current updates to minecraft, the pack is now 100% complete, as long as I have not forgotten anything

Entities : 03/26/2017 11:04:44 pm3/26/17

Close to being done the entities folder!

The things I still need to do are
- llamas
- illagers
- rabbits

Everything else is done

Update #11 : 03/25/2017 5:02:42 pm3/25/17

- tweaked birch and mesa biome colors
- changed the side texture of enchanting table to match the obsidian texture
- fixed fire animation file

Realized I had not added the iron nugget, or textured the actual on character elytra, so those are now done as well

Update #10 : 03/25/2017 4:58:40 am3/25/17

-concrete / powdered concrete added
-terracotta blocks added (they use the textures of what was hardened clay)
-hardened clay that is colored has been changed to look like un-colored hardened clay

Custom Colors : 02/25/2017 12:12:49 am2/25/17

Implemented custom biome colors for grass and leaves. Now it's a bit closer to having actual seasons.

Still here : 02/24/2017 9:11:02 pm2/24/17

Have been very busy lately but I am still here for those wondering.

I made the same note on my other pack, I am waiting on updating with cement and terracotta because they said they might change them when they go from snapshot to full version.

I have slacked however on updating the entities folder. But that will come.

AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD : 01/13/2017 4:23:16 pm1/13/17

The pack is in a full enough state I feel it is ready for download!

Everything except some mobs should be completed! Thank you everyone for the diamonds and likes and follows before I even had something for you to use. I appreciate it so much.

Close to Release V1 : 01/12/2017 7:56:56 pm1/12/17

Blocks Left To Do:
shulker shells
slime block
stone alts (diorite, andesite, granite, and polished)
structure blocks

Items are done! : 01/07/2017 10:28:26 pm1/07/17

Unless I accidentally missed something, all of the items are good to go!
Blocks are next, and once they are done I will release the first download!

clock preview : 01/06/2017 12:02:10 am1/06/17

Blue is roughly day, red is roughly night, purple is dawn and dusk
(this is a clock in the nether so I could easily capture the animation)

EDIT: compass

Holidays Are Over! : 01/03/2017 11:38:59 pm1/03/17

Which means production has started again. My current goal is to finish the items, then blocks, and release. Then I will work on finishing the entities, and finally adding mcpatcher functionality if possible.

Right now I am converting the clock and compass from the old format that the pack was using, to the current working format. There are a lot of files to handle and it's annoying.

Doing my best to get a usable pack out to you who are watching!

Transparency : 12/15/2016 1:20:51 am12/15/16

Have not updated anything for the past week. I often work much quicker than this, but holiday stuff has been in the way.
Just an update for those who may care

Update #1 : 12/04/2016 8:46:30 pm12/04/16

Finished a good amount of the textures.
Still need to edit in the blocks, items, and entities folders
Once that is done, I need to also figure out what im doing with the mcpatcher files

Oh, that's odd. Not sure why it turns my plains grass white, then using Optifine. Anyway, thanks for the reply and great work on the resource pack! :)

No certain biomes are certain colors.
This pack is amazing! Do the textures change with real life time? When I use Optifine in any version, all my plains grass is white. Without Optifine its normal green. Again, amazing resource pack and thanks!
Do you think you could find a way to squeeze in the missing Essences of Time & Nature? I'd love to see them added.

This is also SO AMAZING!!! Thank you!
First of all: confirming I gave permission.

I haven't had the chance to play this much, but the pack seems to be in good hands.

I do recommend looking into Optifine, which allows for some fun shenanigans with textures and whatnot. I did a few things with MCPatcher in my version which should work with Optifine. The most important thing, and the reason I mentioned it quite prominently in my version, is that it allows for far better biome manipulation. You can change how certain tiles look based on which biome you're in, which means you don't have to mess around with colormaps (which means you can use white for grass and leaf textures). You can even choose different textures for mobs, which meant that Pigmen were Subrosians in the Nether and Gibdo Moblins in the overworld (I also added every single Subrosian colour with different rarities, I animated their eyes and I even changed bats into little Motula moths when spawned in an autumn biome). It does take quite a while to do this for every tile, but you should have my version as a starting point. I was going to redefine which biomes correspond to which season, though, which would've meant editing a quite a few files. If you have the time, I highly recommend checking this stuff out.

Keep up the good work, and feel free to let me know if you need any help.

I remembered seeing the pack a looong time ago, and thinking "this would be great once its done". Then it sorta fell between the cracks and by the time I checked again it was discontinued. Thankfully the dude who made it was nice and totally open to me updating it!
