Hello!
This here is SuomiPäk, a Finland themed texture pack which is a work in progress. It's somewhat educational and realistic, I have also changed a lot of item and block names to match our country nature (only English, maybe later also in Finnish).
This pack has been made without shaders and I heavily recommend NOT using them. I tried a few and it literally burned my eyes. :D The only one that works somewhat well is Sildurs Enhanced Default.
Later Optifine is recommended because I'll be adding custom entity models and CTM for mobs but I'll make sure the pack will work also without it.
I'm a huge fan of medieval texture packs and they have been a great source of inspiration.
Leave a comment and let me know what you think or if you have improvement ideas, or something I should consider adding!

Announcement: I think I'm done with this for now. Might continue it later or might not.
Current status:
-Blocks are pretty much all done. Somethings missing, like "break animation", I will probably do in the future but not now.
-Items are 80% done, I will very likely improve many of them along the way, I'm not satisfied with all of them.
-Entities are maybe half way done? These are a pain in the... xD
-GUI is done.
-Most of little things are done, like colormap, environment, misc.

New download:
-some more items done ie. chorus fruits, ghast tear, brick, end brick, end crystal, meats, coal and charcoal
-some small entities like endermite, arrows are now stones for slingshot..
-few mobs; evoker, vindicator, illusioner, vex, witch, llamas are now reindeers, chicken, creeper is your uncle at bahamas, wolf is now finnish spitz when tamed, polar bear is normal bear (and no, there is no polar bears in Finland)
-bushy leaves as an extra treat from long waiting
-adjusted the cow a bit, so it doesn't look like bleach washed
-lang file updated
