A lot of blogs on PMC are just poems and short stories nowadays. I, and I assume many others, feel like these distract from the purpose of this website. Maybe they could get their own place in the forums?
My opinion hasn't changed on this; I 100% agree that there shouldn't be any blog that is not related to Minecraft or PlanetMinecraft. It doesn't make sense that people come here on PMC to make blogs that don't relate to this site's purpose; plus this is the only area of submissions where this is evident. Like, there's Minecraft Projects, Mods, Resource Packs, etc.; now there's no way to make those non-Minecraft related, but why should Blogs have this exception nonetheless?
You got my support 100% , but from my experience the majority doesn't like the fact that PlanetMinecraft blogs should actually only be about... Minecraft. "PlanetMinecraft blogs shouldn't just be about Minecraft." I just can't stand it, it doesn't make sense!
This was how it was before the Rules tab was implemented. I feel the blog section is much richer now that we've allowed non-MC related content into the Blogs section.
I sorta agree with you, although the non-MC related blogs still seem to be taking over. Maybe it could work the same way as art blogs, where every user is alllowed one blog to compile all of their non-MC related stuff in, although I can see how that wouldn't be completely problem-free.
