Well, I updated my map, added 6 new pictures, but my post still didn't show up in the "Updated" list.

That’s because you have to fill out an update log specifying that changes were made. Otherwise, it won’t count as an update.
Okay, I just saw that you already know about this. I don’t know then. Maybe it only counts if you change the file itself?
I'm not familiar with the maps sectiion, but the other content sections often seem to have a delay before the newly uploaded material is properly listed…
