Hello and welcome back to another SCIENCE THEORY! Remember when I jokingly suggested a special golden apple-related blog in my blog on the mass of a chest? Well, I have decided to make that a real thing, where today I will look into the calorie-count in a Notch and normal golden apple.
First of all, there are two types of calories; scientific and otherwise. I will be using “food calories,” which are less complex and often associated with food. It is simply the normal thing to do.
Okay, an apple has 95 calories. This varies by a little depending on the apples size and such, but for the sake of this blog and my sanity, let’s say the apple has only 95 calories. Our final number will be x (the caloric value of gold) and 95 (the caloric value of the apple) added together.
There are (using the old recipe) 9 blocks of gold in a Notch apple, and also, I am assuming the recipe stands to this day even though it was destroyed in 1.14 . There are only 8 ingots in a normal golden apple, or, 0.800 blocks. Now, getting into some pretty basic maths, we find that 1g of gold is worth 3.330 calories
3.330⋅1930=6426.9
This sum, divided by 9 is equal to the dividend of 714.1 . that dividend is equal to the caloric value of 1 gold ingot. That multiplied by 8 equals…
714.1⋅8=5712.8
The value of 8 gold ingots, or 1 golden apple. Add in the apple itself;
5712.8+95=5807.8
And for Notch apples;
714.1⋅9^9=27,6656,971,194.9
