At first, I thought an idea like this would make sense for Netherite, being fire-resistant and all, but then I decided to buff one of the least-used enchantments altogether!
Simply put, any boots enchanted with Frost Walker will allow Lava to be temporarily turned into basalt and magma, allowing you to (somewhat) safely walk across large lava pools. The way it behaves is similar to regular Frost Walker (meaning you can't lava walk while standing in lava, or when falling into it).
It's a small change but was nonetheless a fun challenge to create. Hope you enjoy it!

I modified the code a bit to make it function a bit better, and I also fixed a set of commands that didn't work properly.
Thanks to Natasha425 for making me aware of the ability to collect the lava-walking blocks by mining them. This update fixes that so that they can't be obtained for the most part, but the blocks as items dropped aren't affected (again, for the most part, you probably won't run into any issues).

Fair warning to everyone though, DO NOT RUN AND JUMP ON LAVA. The basalt will not generate fast enough and you'll sink!
Another PSA, You CANNOT go from Soul Sand to Lava. Soul Sand is less than a full block, so as far as the game is concerned you're a block below the surface of the lava as you try to walk in.
As for the running and jumping as well as soul sand and other short blocks, yes true good to point out. Both of these match the behavior of normal Frost Walker, which is why they are that way.
Can blocks placed by this datapack be mined and collected?
If you are able to mine the blocks quickly enough before they change, they could be mined yes. I tried preventing that by killing the items since I can't prevent the blocks from dropping their tiles, but that still doesn't work perfectly. For the most part, though, the blocks get burnt up in lava before they can be grabbed.
