More help with commands
Usually when I use /spawnpoint @a ~ ~ ~ it will set my spawnpoint to that location. And when I type /kill it will put my spawnpoint there. But this time, for some reason, it says you have no home bed or charged respawn anchor even though I did the command! Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!

My theory is.. you clicked on a bed, your spawnpoint changed to it, you broke the bed, you made the "perfect crime"; but it's just a theory
I think you can set a world spawn point instead using /setworldspawn to avoid that problem, and also clear the other spawnpoint with /clearspawnpoint just to make sure

Hi, it turns out that I did not have a bed and even putting /spawnpoint @a ~ ~ ~ did not work. Sometimes it did actually, but most of the time it put me in random places. Also, I'm on java edition and I'm pretty sure /clearspawnpoint is a bedrock command.
Ah yea, I just checked on the wiki about the command, I thought Java would have it too
Hello! I started with a fresh world just to make sure, and it still gave me the same error. I will try using /clearspawnpoint JUST in case but I'm pretty sure that's not the issue.
So you're getting the same message even on a fresh world? now that's confusing, anything could be causing it now, perhaps mods?
I actually had a datapack, but it just did a /spawnpoint command. And when I did the command first, it worked. But when I did the command with my datapack, I got the error.
I could try the datapack here if you want
Here's the datapack, use /function spawnpoint:placespawnpoint to place an armor stand and the tick.mcfunction that sets the spawnpoint. Datapack (mediafire.com)

So it's like a .mcfunction in the datapack? I don't see how it could be causing you to respawn at random places yet
ok
I'm going to try one more fresh world just in case.
