Your Games of the Year for 2017?
Well, it's that time of year again. Time to discuss and talk about our Games of the Year for 2017.
2017 has been mixed for gaming. More and more games have had microtransactions and lootboxes shoved into it, while games that have had actual love and care put into them have shined and enjoyed a ton of success.
EDIT: It seems people are a bit confused with what I meant. When I mean your Games of the Year for 2017, I mean games that were released in 2017.
For me, 2 games really stood out for me.
NieR: Automata: Not only my Game of the Year this year, but also one of my all time favourite games ever made. I haven't been so invested and absorbed in a game this much in a very long time. A modern masterpiece.
Doki Doki Literature Club: While it's just a free-to-play Visual Novel, the writing in this game is near flawless. It took me for a ride, and after finishing it, I couldn't sleep. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just play it.

Doki Doki messed me up man.
Getting Over It and Cuphead
To see Doki Doki Literature Club get more votes then most of the games listed has surprised me, to say the least.
None of them, I'm broke.
rip
Originally went Doki Doki since that was the only game I played on this list, but now I have to go with A Hat in Time as Best game of the century.
For my money, I'd go with this game:
"Nugget away!"
"Nugget away!"
I'd go fortnite and COD ww2.
For me, It'd have to be Endless Space 2 and Stars in Shadow.
Minecraft 1.12 ;P
And
the legend of zelda breath of the wild

Star Wars Battlefront II
I hope this is sarcasm
No I love Battlefront II what's everyone got against that game?
The problem is that you pay 60$ for a triple A game, but loads of it is locked away from you. To unlock certain characters you need to either buy loot crates, which are randomized and have little to no chances of unlocking the characters you want, or you need to play for hours upon hours. EA were planning to make you play for 40 hours just to unlock one top tier characters. EA later had to change this so at least some people would buy the game, because if they didn't their losses would amount to billions of dollars. Star wars Battlefront 2 is a slot machine in disguise, designed to make EA money.
The Sims 4
Doki doki really messed me up. I dunno if it's dependant on chance, but
Spoiler - click to reveal
after Sayori's death, I saw her death screen in the background of the clubroom where a periodic table used to be.

My Games of the Year: 2017, are:
Cliché, I know, but there truly weren't all that many
Video Games this year that I particularly enjoyed.
Besides, I'm admittedly one of those cringe worthy
old school Call of Duty Fanboys, so the fact that this
game moved the series out of the future and
returned it to the WWII era automatically
won it a place in my heart.
There really isn't much that I have to say about this game, as I think that AnimeFanFTW described it perfectly. I'm not an anime fan however, nor am I usually a fan of this kind of game, but it is obviously different.
That's the end of this incredibly long and original list of games that I enjoyed more than others from the wretched year of 2017!

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
I own it!
Which one
A slightly older one but it's still good
Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator
Minecraft Story Mode - Season Two!
Star Wars Battlefront II (no joke)
Add a : and reference the 2005 version, and I might agree that it's at least a contender. EA latest version is meh to begin with, and they didn't earn reddit's lowest downvoted comment spot for no reason. Pretty clear example of what a company shouldn't do, and it's scary that they had the confidence people would eat it up to design things as they did.
y tho
EA Battlefront 2 is a disgrace to gaming
EA Battlefront 2 is a disgrace to gaming
sure it is.....
I'm a Star Wars Nerd, and love anything Star Wars lol.
I enjoyed it a bit.
i choose CLASH ROYAL!
Not released in 2017 tho
mine will be Warcraft 3 or Dota 2
Both were not released in 2017
This list is pretty bad imo, doesn't contain a lot of the best games released in 2017, like Assasin's Creed Origins, Fifa 18 and Call Of Duty WW2, . Even though some people might dislike most popular games about this year, still doesn't mean this list should contain them.
games that are ATM machines in disguise dont count as real games
>"This list is pretty bad, doesn't contain a lot of the best games released in 2017"
I'm gonna assume you're trolling.

Well, not everyone likes those games I agree. But just because you do not enjoy them doesn't mean the list cannot include them. I know a lot of people that like them and the games I mentioned I enjoy playing a lot. I may not be an expert about videogames but they are selling much more copies than the ones you mentioned in your list. I am not saying the games you chose are bad, just saying that including popular games of 2017 would make this list fair.
The Sims 4 (2014)
with the Cats & Dogs (2017) Expansion... eyyy
