Is Herobrine real? I personally think he is not real.

I've seen an update log and it said Removed Herobrine
That was a joke that Mojang started up after Herobrine became a big thing, since people thought it was in Minecraft. They have that in every update log, but stopped after 1.15.
But I say no
Technically he is because of a official skin.
I personally think Herobrine is a joke made by some bored minecrafter. But then, this old story is now so deeply spread and retold, it's like a tradition to make AS IF he was real.

He's real and fake at the same time, he's apart of Minecraft- although you may never 'really' see him, he's apart of the culture, history and us.
In the lands of Albion, sure. I've even documented him in a few videos on my channel. Most recently I shot him. It was a complete accident. He didn't take it well though :(
i know that he isn't in the game files but sometimes i wonder if they add him in randomly and some people are just very unfortunate.
I doubt it. Adding Herobrine randomly would discourage people from playing the game, and overall make Mojang lose money.

So I don't think he is real is Minecraft, but I do believe that he's got lore that seems to crazy to be all fake.
Lore can easily be made by anyone, including the devs as part of the running joke

Modders have scrounged through all the source code (otherwise how would forge and fabric exist); Herobrine is 100% proven to be fake just from that alone
