A stronger mob scaling for Hardcore, using the system (which at least was at some point already built in it just doesnt/didnt feel very strong) where instead of just spawning a wider variety of mobs in the biome the player stays in, also upping things like their health and damage and the quantities.
An ai improvement would also be really nice especially for Hardcore, but I don't wanna ask of something too difficult.
Honestly? On pure like..idea / fantasy i guess? It'd be cool if as you survive, along with the stuff above getting stronger/more difficult, the AI gets smarter. Like the AI would be smart in the first place, but as you go along and the AI learns your playstyle, the AI for certain mobs will act differently and gain new "Behaviors" to counter it. Like if you like using iron door + buttons, either the zombies will break around your door / any glass, climb things like walls/iron bars, or learn to use the buttons. So you'd have to come up with something more expensive and difficult, like a code lock, and build more securely. Stuff like that, maybe as their Strength grows the amount of blocks they can break does too... But I know that'd be real complex lol.
But since thats not in the list, I'd say a biome update, specifically to update dark forests to make the trees and mushrooms larger lol. When I heard of Dark Forest I expected like, jungle tree height trees and super dark, really spooky. 'Stead they like, slightly thiccer and slightly taller oak trees. Gets that dark feeling though.

The end could definitely use an update. But then again isn't the end supposed to be somewhat baron? Whatever features they would add to the end they'ed have to be really late game. They also have several really lackluster biomes (swamp, desert, badlands ect.) all of wich we were promised updates to one day.

End update for sure, it's been the same since 1.9 I think.
I want a update that takes blocks/items that seem like they serve no use, to well, give them a use. In the 2018 biome update vote they said we would vote on the one that would be updated first. It would be nice to get all that stuff in the game, and if they keep holding votes like this a update like this will be essential.

Would be nice if there was animated textures and randomized textures update. I prefer vanilla to optifine, but optifine has the best texture pack features.
vanilla HAS randomized and animated textures. it isn't even hard to make them! recent experiments have even made connected textures exclusively in vanilla.

Another major backend revision like the technical changes in 1.13. Datapack support for custom items and blocks, improved rendering engine like Optifine or Sodium+Lithium+Phosphor, dynamic block lighting, expanded or unlimited world border, cubic chunks (variable, potentially unlimited world height), and a variety of tweaks. For example, the ability to modify or replace an item without the item-swap animation (the item moving down, switching, and then moving back up) would allow datapacks to make custom item animations.
Yes. But then it's a pain to update servers because some plugins have to be completely rebuilt. I still think it could be cool though.
The only thing that would really mess up plugins would be cubic chunks, and even that doesn't really pose too much of an issue because it just provides the option to make taller worlds without modifying the default world height. Taller worlds would be made through custom generation from datapacks (which this update would allow to modify the default dimensions if set up on world generation).

The end goal is a new dimension, so I would say a End Update and maybe a Nature/Biome Update
