A 20th subscriber progress update and an opportunity to get my ideas finalized so I won't get "Ooo shiny" syndrome while building. I am currently on an extended leave from a proper minecraft machine so I have been given an opportunity to plan out the design elements of the Age of Coal, the ambiguous title I'm used to describe the era that most of my builds are based in. This period ranges from a time before the US Civil War and ends in 1927, the end of the alternate WW1's timeline.
I'm giving a heads up on what to expect from in starting in February. My plan is to round out the non-German nations and branch out from strictly military walkers or nationally aligned ones. The Silent Ones are on hold until a pair of rogue server admins give me my half-completed schematics and don't corrupt them.
Input, ideas, comments, constructive criticism and such are welcomed in regards to the entirety of my builds, requests are also welcome and I'll do my best to expedite their construction.
Design Elements
US Civil War (1861-1885)
Union
Confederacy
The Great War (1914-1927)
Germany
French
British
America
Russia
Two Nations are undefined so far, in the former's case a lack of any original ideas, and in the latter's case an aversion to potentially risking anything with the Ottoman/Turkish style but there are ideas...
As for out of war ideas, I have three non-aligned ideas.
Hadestown
The Ypiranga
I've also decided to revisit some of my older builds and hopefully fix them up to my current standards and to bring them to my equivalent of 100% completion.

- Larger engines (Diesel?)
- Rounded armor
- Shorter profiles
The Great War (1914-1927)
Germany
- Longer, taller, Designs
- Crustacean-like
- Armed for melee combat and longer ranged, lacking in mid-ranged weapons
- Inspiration: SMS Beowulf by Keith Thompson

- Exposed rear engines
- Externally mounted "Shield" on the fronts
- Inspiration: Real-life Ticks

- Massive Profile
- Bottom Heavy
- Inspiration: Armored Core
Russia
- Walker-Tank Hybrids
- Anti-infantry support roles
- Not very advanced, quit the war early
Two Nations are undefined so far, in the former's case a lack of any original ideas, and in the latter's case an aversion to potentially risking anything with the Ottoman/Turkish style but there are ideas...
- Austria-Hungary
- Ottoman Empire
As for out of war ideas, I have three non-aligned ideas.
Hadestown
- A Wild West Boomtown Walker
- Large walker with saloons, brothels and shacks.
- Three large centrally mounted drills
- Portal to Hell under it?
The Ypiranga
- Pancho Villa's flagship
- Constructed from two forward sections of Krabbes
- Catamaran style walker with exposed decking and gantries
- More angular armor and external shields in style of the French
I've also decided to revisit some of my older builds and hopefully fix them up to my current standards and to bring them to my equivalent of 100% completion.
Modifications to current builds
- The Krabbe's forward section will be shortened in the space between the control tower and the forward gun. Arms will be added halfway between the upper deck and the bulging observatories. The rear section will be shortened too with the spaces between turrets compressed.
- The Bienenstock will be revisited in a large way, including a complete redesign of its legs, more than likely a decrease in their depth so that they could be folded. The side turrets will be added and then the schematic will be uploaded and contain schematics for all four variants.
