The Crathi-class was a heavy strategic bomber designed by Datopala Industrial and Kualin Stardrives, as the final ship in the Taslov collection. The strike craft was sold in limited quantities through a short seven year production run, as Datopala Industrial had been releasing various strike craft since the Tessin-class and had minimal success among TAUFOG nations finding consumers interested. The most successful strike craft after the Tessin-class fighter that the company had designed were the Taslov and Tiisal-class bombers, so Datopala chose to continue utilizing the same design teams to develop further bombers, with the Crathi-class being the largest thus far. Due to the relatively poor performance of the company's preceding strike craft, Datopala partnered with Kualin Stardrives on the design of the Crathi, with the larger shipbuilder taking over structures engineering while Datopala's team focused on mission systems. Company executives hoped to minimize costs, as development programs for Datopala's previous strike craft had become increasingly expensive and time consuming. This did work, with the Crathi-class taking only twelve years to complete, but left engineers comparatively little time to innovate or iterate the ship. The Crathi-class ended up being somewhat simplistic and basic compared to offerings from other shipbuilders; the bomber lacked laser cannons, had no internal storage for torpedoes, and lacked any maneuverability. The Crathi-class's only attractive feature was its massive missile capacity, carrying well over 200 SCI-925 Onalee nuclear missiles. Unfortunately, having only two missile launchers and a loading system copied from the Tiisal-class with slight modifications, the Crathi-class could not deploy its missiles quickly and in simulated combat would be destroyed by strike craft or defensive fire before using even half of its ordnance. This left the Crathi-class as inefficient and not an ideal choice for nations looking for a heavy bomber, and so Datopala would only manufacture the ship for seven years before ending production.
