TDevine5 is one of the original members of the Epicmcs server. ButterCreeperMcs of the Epic Empire is going to have a conversation with him.
The following was recorded via a Skype call on May 5, 2013.
B: Hi Timmy, how are you?
T: Good.
B: So I'm glad we were able to have this Skype conversation. So what was Epicmcs like when you joined?
T: I joined in September 2012. There were already lots of Minecraft 1.4 snapshots and the final version was preparing for release. When I joined, there wasn't much to do on the server. There was a dirt spawn building and not many players. Only about 10 players were on at one time.
B: How did you find Epicmcs?
T: Well, my friend Jacob and his dad had just started the server. He told me about it and I decided to join.
B: Now as many as 100 people could be found on the server at one time.
T: The server mainly spread by word of mouth, like Minecraft did. To accomodate the new players, Jacob increased the player limit from 20 to 50 to 100.
B: How do you feel about the server being made up mainly by Swedish kids?
T: Over half of the players on the server are Swedish people under 10. It's pretty annoying because this is an American server. You have just finished building a tower when a Swedish person comes and griefs it. We have a build protection plugin now, but it's still annoying.
B: You've made some friends on the server.
T: Yes. I've already been friends with the owners, Danieldirt and kingcobra01. But I spread the server to my real friends. It started with creep312. Then you. Now I have friends on the server. Withersmith, jakewissinger, harryjames5, lots of people.
B: You also made a YouTube channel to showcase the server.
T: Yes. I made a channel called CaptainMinecraftTK to do Minecraft tutorials, server reviews, and more.
B: What about Mathman414?
T: Oh, math. He joined the server about two weeks ago. Now he's already a popular player. He's got the Epic Army fighting the Derp Army.
B: You're pretty popular.
T: Yes I am.
B: So I guess that's it for today.
T: Bye.
