Breath
A temptation encourages me to inhale,
Cold air rushes past my mouth and hits me,
In the back of the throat,
My lips become dry, my tongue tingles,
Air fills my lungs my ribcage rises,
My chest is a balloon ready to burst,
But my lungs have changed their mind,
A temptation encourages me to exhale,
Warm air flows from my throat out of my mouth,
An ancient flavour fills my tongue and my lips moisten,
Air leaves my lungs and my ribcage falls,
My chest is now a shrivelled cell wanting to be filled,
But my lungs have changed their mind again,
And a temptation encourages me to inhale,
A temptation encourages me to inhale,
Cold air rushes past my mouth and hits me,
In the back of the throat,
My lips become dry, my tongue tingles,
Air fills my lungs my ribcage rises,
My chest is a balloon ready to burst,
But my lungs have changed their mind,
A temptation encourages me to exhale,
Warm air flows from my throat out of my mouth,
An ancient flavour fills my tongue and my lips moisten,
Air leaves my lungs and my ribcage falls,
My chest is now a shrivelled cell wanting to be filled,
But my lungs have changed their mind again,
And a temptation encourages me to inhale,
