Oi, everyone! It's Ocean again, and I'm here with a very annoying topic today: The new Mojang EULA.
For those of you you don't know, Mojang has recently released a new End of User License Agreement, or EULA. It states that servers are no longer able to give out game changing perks to Donators. Why, you ask? Because some smaller servers charge outrageous sums of hard currency (AKA cash, moola, clams, whatever you want to call it) for players to join, and some that let Donators get overpowered items, such as flying abilities, more power over the default players, and maybe even a few stacks of Diamonds. Mojang noticed these servers, and therefore whipped up this new policy.
However, as we all know, there are those idiots (AKA misinformed 12-year-olds) that blow this kind of thing way out of proportion, and that's exactly what happened here. Some dipwad thought Mojang was going to close all servers that had people donating to them, and blabbed on the Minecraft Forums or Twitter or some crap like that. Since then, the entire Minecraft community has been in a tizzy about Servers. There are some like Hypixel, AntVenom, SkyDoesMinecraft, and others that offer donator perks, but don't push them to the max so much that the entire chat is filled with messages that translate to "DONATE NOW OR I WILL FIND YOU AND KILL YOU N00B!"
What is my opinion on this? Well, I honestly can't stand the amount of people who think whining about it is going to do something. Here, have a bowl of reality soup: whining doesn't solve anything. To be quite honest, I want to throw my laptop across the room when I see someone stirring it up again, and then making the whole server start getting their panties in a twist about it. It's quite annoying, and I think most people do it because they know they'll get attention from it (sorta sounds like one of my cousins). If you really want something done about it, write to Mojang about it, don't spew it on a server and make them get paranoid. I'm sure Mojang will gladly give you an explanation, and then you'll be able to understand it. I also don't care about it, because I could really do without VIP+ on Hypixel's server, and I'd be perfectly happy if I was able to play with my friends on Servers without any perks. Yes, I do get to fly around, but I could probably walk to a minigame portal in half the time it takes to fly there.
All in all, I really don't care about the new EULA, because I've got better things to do with my life than listen to little kids whine about "how they'll lose their cool armour that's godmodded to the max". I have skins to make, friends to play games with, and I'm honestly not about to let some nimbus ruin that for me because they think the Rules Mojang has in place for servers are stupid (Mind you, they can shut down your MC account).

In the new eula changes mojang did not shutdown donator perks but that op shiz. What donating on a server now is that if u donate and set like a donate goal like 20 dollars and the goal is hit u reward all teh players on ure server like say mine is a build server so... once we reach 20 dollars of donations in one month worldedit for everyone for one month. so now mojang only allowd for donors to get purdy prefixes nothing else until u do something like the server goal thing
