The reason why half of marriages in the US end in divorce is because couples get wrapped up in the feeling of "love" and get married. After a while, the feeling fades and they find out they actually didn't love each other. Love is not a feeling. Luv is a Verb. People need to realize this.

Love is an action, not a feeling.

It is a conscious decision to be kind, patient, humble, honorable, considerate, forgiving, protective, truthful, trusting, and hopeful with a person (or thing) that you've decided to love.

This applies to friends, families, romantic interests, ideas and objects.

It seems to me that you're both confusing and mixing love with infatuation.
