What had once been so alluring
Is now so disgusting
I hate it all
Them, me, and the choices I have to make
Everyone crowds down one path
I'm the only one standing still in place
Staring out into time
Watching as death plagues my sight
Shivering, listening to the screams
Silently closing my eyes
Nearby, I feel the people stare
Whispers surround me
Slowly opening them up
Letting the floodgates open
I shed my burdens
Take a breath, take a step
Towards that lonely path
Letting the freedom fill me up
I've let myself move on
