Welcome, this is the first installment of the Custom mob vote; which is about voting which fanmade mob concept is the best fit for vanilla Minecraft. For this vote, the theme is the formula that the last 2 official mob votes, followed; Plants (Glare, Sniffer), Humanoids (Allay, Rascal) and Golems (Copper Golem, Tuff Golem). Here are 3 mobs which follow the exact formula; Frillneck (plant), Herder (humanoid) and Straw Golem (golem). Like the official mob votes, these mobs are not hostile and provide a utility use. Vote for which mob feels like the best concept for vanilla Minecraft.

Info about the mobs:

Frillneck

Lizards that call the lush caves their home. They are known for their frills around their heads that resemble the spore blossoms that are also found in their natural habitat biome. The frills are there to scare away potential threats. Tame one with glowberries and it will stay on top of your head, when you are in low HP by a hostile mob or another player and have a frillneck atop your head it will spit a cloud of spore fumes that scare away and poison the threatening mob/player. Basically a last second defence atop your head. Tamed Frillnecks can spit out fumes for defence even when they are on the ground.

Herder

A strange primate like mob that is known for its skills of herding animals which you can find them at a jungle biome. When your animals are out of their places, give the Herder any item that attracts animals (carrots, wheat, seeds, etc.) and they would walk and attract every nearby animal and lead them to the place the player assigns the herder to walk to. To assign a place for the Herder to lead your animals, place and ring a bell in the assigned place. With the Herder, animals will always be in place.

Straw Golem:

If you're training to become better at PVP or enjoy combat, this golem is for you. Stack a hay bale, target block and a carved pumpkin together to create your own Straw Golem. Straw Golems are a way to train combat skills when you are in single player or want to do training alone. Right click a Straw Golem with either a stick, an arrow or snowball to activate different training modes if you want to focus on different parts of PVP. Right click the Golem with the same item if you want it to quit the certain mode.

Training modes for the Straw Golem:

[Right click with Stick] Melee: With a stick, you can train with the golem to focus on the skill of sword fighting. You must use a stick in order to not end up killing the golem. When training with this mode, you and the golem will not deal damage to each other (if the player is using a stick to fight). This is perfect if you want a friendly brawl. Additionally, if you equip a shield to the Straw Golem it will let you train the art of fighting with sword and shield skills minus the sword. You can use arrows in this mode as arrows do not damage the golem and will stick onto it.

[Right click with arrow ] Target Dummy/ Archery: The Golem will stand still in one place so you can practice your accuracy skills. Your focus in this mode is that of the target board which is attached on the golem. Alternatively, you can use a stick to train your hitting accuracy. Basically, this is like the target dummy from Minecraft Dungeons.

[Right click with snowball] Projectile: Finally the projectile mode is to test out projectile and throwing skills. The golem will repeatedly throw snowballs at the player, however its not infinite like the snow golem. The amount of snowballs you give the Straw golem will depend on how long this mode will last for. If the snow balls run out it will automatically switch to training dummy mode. The snowballs thrown by the golem don't damage armor durability. If the Straw Golem has a shield so does the player both can train the skill of blocking projectiles.
