Bloodshed on the open field,
along with a battle cry.
Warriors fight for glory,
under the red sunset sky.
The sound of screams and pains and death,
that whisper in your ear.
The constant warning all around us,
that the end is near.
Who will tell that little boy,
why his dad won't be home tonight?
Who will put an end to the madness?
Who will stop the fight?
Soldiers covered in blood and armour,
forever locked in war,
the warnings by the guards and knights,
"Close your windows! Lock your doors!"
Mobs outside are left to die,
in the bitter endless cold,
families and friends are torn apart,
like the prophecy fortold.
So I ask of you once again,
who will tell the boy,
how the sense of safety and happiness,
has all been a decoy?
So, I spent a good few minutes piecing this together. Tell me what you think below and thanks for reading.
