It was an average day for the members of the Chaos Legion. Fight some Astral Beasts, grab a snack, fight some more, get a snack, repeat the cycle. Today, however, was about to go in a completely different direction...
The day was September 28th, 2023, and it was around 8:10 PM. In the GME Territories, within the halls of Castle Großmonsterstein, Emperor Wither Storm II stood in his throne room, looking out the window towards Anarchy Island. He could see the green lights of the Western District's armories in the distance, glowing bright in the night. His second-in-command, Minister of Defense Marshal GrossDeimosStein, walked in. "My lord, is it time?" he asked. The Emperor nodded, and the Marshal turned around and walked out. He soon returned with broadcasting equipment, and promptly set it up before Wither Storm's throne. "People of the Chaos Legion, my name is Emperor Wither Storm II." the Emperor began. "I am the ruler of the Great Monster Empire. I'm sure you've noticed us here for some time, in what you once called the Unknown Lands, but this is our land now, and we call it the GME Territories. Now, onto the official things. We seek to conquer this world for the glory of the monsters, as you have mistreated us. If you try to stop us, know that we large reserves of nuclear missiles and biological weapons. These are deadly viruses for which there is no vaccine yet; we have been developing them for a long time in secret laboratories, and I am not afraid to use biological weapons and start a full-scale biological warfare. I leave you to think about this information. Goodbye." GrossDeimosStein ended the broadcast.
On Anarchy Island, on the top floor of Chaos Center, the headquarters of the Chaos Legion, located in the Capital District, Supreme Commanding Legionmaster IGEBM watched the broadcast. He was, at the moment, the only member of high command in the room, as Anarchist Si was on his way back from a visit to the Northern District, and fellow Supreme Commanding Legionmaster Cloud was similarly on his way back from the Western District. Legionmaster Stormy, the resident tech expert, had seen the broadcast on his computer and showed it to IGE. "Si and Cloud better get here soon." he said, worried. "I'll radio them." Storm responded, raising his right arm to contact Si and Cloud on his communicator.
Si and Cloud eventually arrived. "We heard the news." Cloud said, panting. "We ran up the stairs." Si explained, also panting. "The elevator was taking too long." Storm chuckled in his cubicle. "Are Violiie, Echo, and Greief coming?" IGE asked as they gathered around the central holo-table where they made plans. "Violiie and Echo stuck in Morbid Island on business." Si answered. "They said they won't be able to help. Greief's in the Green District overseeing inventory counts. Now, what do we do?" "We can't do anything." IGE responded. "You heard what he said about the GME's weapons. How are we supposed to combat chemical warfare and bioweapons?" "Nukes." Cloud suggested. "No..." IGE said. "Then they'd launch theirs... and that wouldn't be good. But then again, they're gonna launch them if we so much as consider attacking them, which we're already doing. I wanna try to negotiate with them, maybe reach a land-splitting deal, but if that doesn't work, launch the nukes." "Good idea." Si said. That night, he made an announcement to the GME that they would not stand for this.
The next day, Emperor Wither Storm claimed that the Legion had declared they would fight them, and that they were ready to fight back. IGE, with some assistance from Storm, worked on establishing communications with the Great Monster Empire. Using an abandoned comm channel, they were able to contact Marshal GrossDeimosStein, as he had forgotten to disable his communicator when he left the Chaos Legion to meet with the Emperor and begin construction of Castle Großmonsterstein. "We never declared war against you." IGE explained. "We can have peace if you just let us negotiate." "These negotiations, if they happen, will be very difficult." GrossDeimosStein replied. "His Imperial Majesty doesn't like to negotiate, but I'll try to persuade him."
However, the following day, before GrossDeimosStein talked to the Empire, he received a notification about a holo-call. Knowing it would be a waste of time to tell the Emperor about something that would be over soon, he headed his his office in the Ministry of Defense tower and joined the call. King Elightin Elytra of the Cholan Empire had set up a peace conference. The Cholas lived in the Cholan Empire Territories, a section of Anarchy Island between the Northern and Western Districts given to them by Si after they had formed an alliance with the Chaos Legion. Anarchy Island was once known as Chola Island, but after the PMC Civil War and the Astral Beast invasion, the island was in ruins, and Elightin allowed Supreme Commanding Legionmaster SB, the founder and leader of the Chaos Legion, to set up the militia's base there. On the call were IGE, Si, and Cloud, joining from the Chaos Center, Elightin, Field Marshall Rob, and Dr. Golden, joining from Castle Cholan in Thanjavur (a city in the Cholan Empire Territories), and GrossDeimosStein, joining from his office in Castle Großmonsterstein.
"Okay, I've heard that the Monster Empire and Chaos Legion have gone against each other." Elightin began. "What brings the Cholas into this is due to the fact that we are allies with the Legion, and thus have an obligation to assist them in political conflicts." "I am not authorized to negotiate." GrossDeimosStein stated. "I am the Minister of Defense of the Monster Empire and not the Emperor, so the negotiations should be carried out by the Emperor of the Monster Empire, Emperor Wither Storm II." "Minister of Defense?" Elightin asked. "Yeah, I think you're more than qualified." "I'm an army man, not a diplomat." the Marshal responded. "I have no experience in negotiating." "Okay, I'm not here for excuses." Elightin said. "Si?" "You may not be a diplomat, but you can ask your leader for us." Si said. "I'm sorry, but I have to return to my duties as Defense Minister to oversee preparations for a nuclear test." GrossDeimosStein told them. "Goodbye." "Negotiations are over." Si said, speaking to everyone instead of just the Minister of Defense. "Permanently."
"I'll tell the my Great Emperor that negotiations are at an end." the Marshal responded. "You just wanted to buy time. This is the last warning, if the Legion starts the war first and strikes the Empire, then we will start a full-scale biological warfare and vast areas will be infected with deadly viruses for a long time and millions will die." "We aren't the ones threatening." Si retorted. "Nuclear tests will be at the empire's test sites." GrossDeimosStein added. "These nuclear weapons are a private matter for the Empire." "Not when I can just tell Si all of your war secrets." Elightin responded. "I have my ways." "We have weapons that you don't know about." the Marshal countered. "I never said anything about them. The use of these weapons would cause massive natural disasters. You're sure you know all of our secrets. If you really know all our war secrets, in that case, tell me about them. If you tell me all our secrets, the empire will stop threatening others and become a peaceful country." IGE opened his mouth to speak. "For the last time, we didn’t want to buy time." he said. "We, or at least I, wanted to reach a deal. We can split land, or something like that, and we’re not threatening you. If anything, you’re threatening us." "I agree." Cloud added. "We have no wish to fight you, but you push on telling us all you can do. All we want is peace."
"Then tell it directly to the Emperor." GrossDeimosStein said, his voice raising slightly. "He's clearly paranoid that he thinks everyone is an enemy. He doesn't listen to me at all anymore, and we members of the Empire can't object to him because then our heads will fly. The Monster Empire is an absolute monarchy where the emperor's word is law." "Hey, if your emperor is letting heads fly, then maybe we can do a coup d'état and replace it with a supervised government." Elightin suggested. Si nodded in agreement, as did IGE. "If we declare war, we already outnumber you and we also have nuclear ideas of my own. I've been working on them ever since you killed all those Cholas." However, the Minister of Defense was not listening. He was looking down at his communicator, with which he had sent a message to Emperor Wither Storm.
"We may have a problem." Storm said, pushing his rolling chair back out of his cubicle towards Si, IGE, and Cloud. He pointed at his computer, where a live broadcast from the GME was going on. "The hour has come!" the Emperor began. "I didn’t want this war; I was forced. From the beginning, the Legion and the Cholan Empire began preparing for a war against our country, now they are talking about my liquidation. They want to destroy our country therefore... I made a decision to launch a preemptive strike on the Cholan Empire and the Chaos Legion. For the Emperor! Fatherland and faith! Forward! The enemy will be defeated, victory will be ours!" At the same time, GrossDeimosStein's miniature hologram disappeared from the holo-table. In a matter of seconds, reports began coming in from across Anarchy Island about the GME's triple assault. In the waters near the Western District, three large stone titan monsters with glowing purple eyes rose up, making their way towards the island. They were backed up by intelligent combat robots called Acid Robot X-1s, armed with machine guns that fire acid pellets. Meanwhile, parts of the streets across all five districts started to crack open as monsters rose from beneath the asphalt, attacking Legion members, who began to open fire on them. In the air, the results of the GME's Atomic Project were revealed when 10 nuclear missiles bearing their emblem appeared in the skies above Anarchy Island, followed by Imperial Air Force bombers that dropped plague bombs, which administered plagues. Storm quickly rolled back to his desk and scrambled to raise the island's defense shield, getting it up just in time to block the nukes and bombs, but that didn't change the fact that this was it. As of September 30th, 2023, at 4:46 PM OT, the PMC World War had begun.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my next major lore series, The PMC World War! For those who don't already know what this is or recognize the events in this chapter, it's a series based on the roleplay war between the Chaos Legion and their allies and the Great Monster Empire. The majority of the events told in the story are based on comments on the roleplay thread or things said in private messages, and there's gonna be a section in each blog (included this one) with a list of all the things based on real events. I'll also be consulting my friend Si, the leader of the Chaos Legion and my co-writer when it comes to lore for the group, on each chapter, hence why it says "Edited by LegendarySi" in the credits, since he's more or less the editor in this situation. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading the story and that you're excited for the chapters to come.

This story is not in any way meant to paint any groups in a bad light. While I will admit that it's hard to shake my "Legion equals good guys, GME equals bad guys" mentality while writing this series, I'll try my best. If anyone thinks this is being biased by saying something about a "bad" thing one of the parties did, just know that I get all the major events from actual things that happened during the war (see the next section), and thus, it's not propaganda-like stuff, just facts.

My party, Cholan troops as well as my own troops and weapons should be enough help for now...
Meanwhile I'm gonna prepare the Robzinian weapons and the Robzinian mass-destruction weapons as well...
