The End

You know how there are multiple endings to FNAF 3? Well the thing is, the endings are a mystery.
In the Bad Ending, the purple man enters the suit of Spring Trap and dies due to spring lock, same in the good ending. However the classic animatronics are lit up with another head in the background. No one has solved what that is the head of.
In the Good Ending, the heads are unlit and the other head has disappeared.
In the Final Ending, the place is burnt down, but Spring Trap is still there. Didn't the children no longer posses the suits? So how does Spring Trap survive and stay 'alive'? Maybe he is possessed by another soul... but what? Potential sequel? No, the hat closes the series... or does it?

Is the end minigame set before or after the main game?

It is unknown when the end minigame is set. If it was before then the suit is haunted by the purple man. If it was after then in Nightmare it could still be possessed by the purple man. That can add to the end theory. The FNAF world is fill of mysteries that still aren't filled. Maybe Scott just likes leaving games shrouded in mystery, espically FNAF.
