1. Make a temple to spawn in
2. Make up a really good mystery, for example: there was a land of mine crafters but one by one every day they disappeared
3. Make a hidden entrance with something redstone, for example: tripwire with a hidden door in front of it
4. Have really good traps like riding in a mine cart through a hall way of a stone temple with tripwire near your face
and dispensers filled with diamonds on one side and arrows (and/or fire charges).
