A Guide to .gpl Files!
I've been getting a lot of questions about how to use .gpl files in PMCSkin3D. It's actually very easy! Allow me to explain! <3
Finding Files!
I recently found lospec.com which has a huge library of pallets! There is also a tutorial here on how to upload a copic colour library to a .gpl file. colorzilla.com has also been a helpful resource. Adobe color wheel can also be helpful! Heres a wiki all about saving pallets!
Furthermore, Paletton is a website where you can make pallets and extract them as .gpl files!
But most importantly, your fellow members are extremely helpful! You can exchange pallets with your friends! Post your .gpl files and create a collection for your friends!
What is a .gpl?
A .gpl is a pallet file most commonly used with the program Gimp which is a free drawing software. Your .gpl files can be opened with notepad on your computer and even created with this program. Here are some details about .gpl files. When opened, the file will look something like this:
Retro Pallet
Or if you've gotten a file from Lospec, it will look like this:
ConkerPixels
As you can tell, these files are created by listing the colour values on the left and a name or *HTML colour on the right, and the title 'GIMP Palette' at the top. You may also notice that when you upload a Lospec pallet there are 3 black squares. This isn't a problem, you can easily just get rid of them! :) I think this is because PMC uses an updated file type.
*An HTML is a colour file. Codes from an image and HTML colour picker are helpful resources.

Uploading a .gpl File to PMCSkin3D
Step 1: Locate your pallet window and create a new pallet.
Step 2: Go to your new pallet and click import. Find your file that you've downloaded or created and click on it!
Step 3: Rename the pallet (If you want) and use!
Optional: If there are some random black squares infront of your colours, just remove them :)

Saving a pallet from PMCSkin3D
To do this, all you need to do is have a pallet you've made and that you'd like to save to your computer, ready and open in your pallet window. Then, simply click the export button instead of the import button, save and keep!
Furthermore, you could upload the .gpl file to google drive so you can share with your friends, OR open it up in notepad, copy the text, and post it as a blog!
How to create a pallet from a word file [WINDOWS]
As we've seen above, .gpl files are really just word files. For example, you could use the word files I've listed above to create a pallet for you to use! It's easy! Find the word file your friend has uploaded, highlight the .gpl part, and paste that into a brand new Microsoft Notepad file. Then, simply hit 'save as' (under file) and then type in "your file name.gpl" don't forget to write '.gpl', BEFORE you hit save, don't forget to move over to the right, hit the drop down, and click all file types. Then save in a safe location! Simply upload as before!
