Level 55 : Grandmaster Loremaster
463
Well, now I’m 53% of the way to level 51, according to the compact header I briefly turned on just now, but I can still celebrate being at level 50! Just like with subscribers, I never thought I’d get this far. I never thought I’d become… the Grandmaster Loremaster! (How dramatic…)

Anyways, in celebration, I figured I’d reveal my Transformers collection. Now, this is all of the ones currently at my mom’s house (divorced parents, two homes). The shelf in the picture is all of my Generations (mainline figures released between 2018 and 2023*) figures. Soon, I’ll update this with a pic of my Rescue Bots, which were some of the first Transformers I got. At my dad’s are all the non-Generations-or-RB-toys, like my small collection of G1 characters (two of which are in the image above).

List of Characters in the Main Image:

I’m at level 50!
(For some reason, I can’t make this the main image at the top of the blog, so go off of this one while reading the text below instead of the one at the top.)

Top:
HasLab Victory Saber (2022)

Yes, those are Animal Crossing: New Horizons amiibos on the shelf. Also, the blacked out stuff next to Victory Saber are pictures of me, my dad, and my half-sister, which I obviously can’t show here. As for the boxes, the LEGO Spider-Man one is for the Molten Man Battle set (2019; set number 76128) from Far From Home, which is currently sitting on the floor in front of the shelves. The big Earthrise box belongs to Doubledealer, and the two above the Nintendo Switch Lite box are for Ironworks (left) and Scorponok (right). Under all of those are a box for Connect 4 and two homemade mailboxes (decorated shoeboxes) my dad made for me to store the letters he sends me every month. (Well, how just gives them to me when I visit him to open on the first of each month.) Next to those are a case for what I believed is a Splatoon 3 game card for my Switch (the card itself is the device right now) and a box with some origami stuff.

Shelf Back Row: Studio Series Leader Class 101 Scourge (2023), War for Cybertron: Earthrise Leader Class Doubledealer (2020), Shattered Glass Collection Ultra Magnus (2022), Thrilling 30 Voyager Class Brainstorm (2014), Titans Return Leader Class Dreadnaut & Decepticon Overlord (2017; Dreadnaut transforms into Overlord’s head), Legacy: Evolution Deluxe Class Animated Universe Prowl (2023)

Basically, these are all the bad guys (sans Prowl). I didn’t realize it at first, but earlier, while taking photos of the shelf, I noticed that everyone in that back row was an antagonist at some point. (Yes, that includes Brainstorm even though he’s an Autobot. (Last time I checked, Autobots don’t trade with Decepticons to build a machine to time travel back to before the war to alter history by killing the Decepticon leader before he’s even born and thus causing a much darker alternate timeline to happen.)

Shelf Middle Row: Titans Return Voyager Class Decepticon Hazard & Blitzwing (2017; Hazard transforms into Blitzwing’s head), Collaborative Maverick (2020), Studio Series Deluxe Class +02 Gamer Edition Barricade (2023), Shattered Glass Collection Soundwave (2022), War for Cybertron: Siege Deluxe Class Impactor (2019), Transformers Cyber Battalion Series Prowl (2017), Mastermind Creations Oberon (2016; third party version of Obsidian)

Shelf Front Row: Vintage G1 Soundwave and Condor Cassette: Buzzsaw (2019; re-release of The Transformers toy from 1984; Buzzsaw isn’t with him), Legacy Core Class Iguanus (2022), ToyWorld Alert (20??; third party version of Movieverse Barricade in the style of World War II), War for Cybertron: Kingdom Deluxe Class Predacon Scorponok (2021), War for Cybertron: Siege Deluxe Class Barricade (2019), Shattered Glass Collection Decepticon Flamewar with Fireglide (2022; Fireglide isn’t with her), Collaborative Gigawatt (2020), Legacy: Evolution Deluxe Class Scraphook (2023), Demowrought (2022)**

Shelf Outer Row: ToyWorld Frenzy (20??; included with Alert, along with the radio he’s standing on, the grill in front of it, and the tiny shovel next to it), ToyWorld Baron’s left leg (20??; third party build-a-figure version of Movieverse Starscream in the style of World War II; included with Alert), HasLab Holi (2022; included with Victory Saber), HasLab Fire (2022; included with Victory Saber), Vintage G1 Buzzsaw (2020; included with Soundwave), Shattered Glass Collection Autobot Goldbug (2021), Shattered Glass Collection Laserbeak (2022; included with Soundwave), Shattered Glass Collection Ravage (2022; included with Soundwave), Shattered Glass Collection Fireglide (2022; included with Flamewar), Studio Series Deluxe Class 70 B-127 (2021), Shattered Glass Collection Delta Magnus’ head (2022; included with Ultra Magnus), NewAge Darius (2021; third party Legends-scale version of Galvatron), Authentics Bravo Megatron (2017), Authentics Bravo Starscream (2017)

For those wondering, the purple thing on top of Baron’s leg is one of the leg attachments from DNA Design’s upgrade kit for Impactor (2020; you can see the comic-accurate cannon from the kit on his shoulder). The whole kit was 3D-printed (not by me, it comes pre-printed), and the 5mm port used to attach it to his leg broke when I was removing it, so it just sits there. The other piece is still on Impactor’s other leg. Also for those wondering, the blacked out stuff behind Demowrought and Starscream are some books that I just wanted to hide the names of for extra security. The red disc under the shelf is one of Obsidian’s rotors (he turns into a helicopter), which won’t stay attached and gets in the way anyways. The other rotor is on my desk in a box with some fire blast effects (soft plastic pieces meant to attach to 5mm ports - like the barrels of the figures’ guns - to simulate shooting or being shot at).

The only bot missing from this shelf is the latest addition to my collection, Legacy: Evolution Deluxe Class Animated Universe Prowl (2023), who was sitting on my bed at the time. If he were on the shelf, he’d be perched on those books and boxes behind Demowrought and next to Overlord, Obsidian, and Scraphook.

Hope you enjoyed this reveal!

*Technically, Generations started in 2010, but the majority of the characters on the shelf are from 2018 and onwards, with a few exceptions.

**Demowrought is an amalgamation of War for Cybertron: Siege Deluxe Class Brunt (2019) and War for Cybertron: Earthrise Deluxe Class Ironworks (2020), who were both customized with Toyhax sticker sets to become the Decepticon construction foreman Deadlift and the Decepticon smelter Wrought, respectively. I made the character while messing around with them last summer and named him after the demogorgon from Stranger Things, since he reminded of it.

Rescue Bots, roll to the rescue

Rescue Bots, roll to the rescue
Rescue Bots

I’m at level 50!

This was such a lovely stroll down memory lane… When I was younger (but not that young), I used to collect the Rescue Bots toys since I loved the cartoon. Sadly, I don’t have anything from its sequel series, Rescue Bots Academy, unless you count Hoist, whose toy here is the basis of his RBA design. Anyways, most of these guys were in the bins you see under the shelf, the exceptions being the giant winged Optimus Prime, Quickshadow, the main Rescue Bots team (Boulder, Heatwave, Chase, and Blades), Bisk, and the two playsets. Prime and the Rescue Team were in their alt-modes under my desk, as was Quickshadow, Bisk was on the other shelf before I left him on my desk while putting Transformers there, and the playsets were collecting dust in the roughly same places you see them in right now. Over the past few weeks, I was slowly taking out these guys, and this afternoon, I finally put them all together again. First, I had to move a Hotwheels playset to the floor to make room, and then I began dusting off the firehouse and ship. After that, I started to put these guys on the shelf and take the others out of the bin on the far right, which was where most of them had been living for the past 2 years. Sadly, Quickshadow, Medix, and Chase’s white plastic has photdegraded, even though both of them literally haven’t seen the sun in years. The backsides of Blades and Salvage (the latter was greening instead of yellowing) are also suffering the consequences, even though they too have barely seen the light, but Blurr’s fine since his white parts are purple plastic painted white. Now, enough talking. Here’s the character guide!

(Note: Since basically every toy here is from the Rescue Bots toyline, figures from other lines will be noted with their toyline’s name, but not the Rescue Bots figures. The same thing goes for Rescue Bots sublimes, like Energize, where a lot of my characters are from.)

Upper Section: Optimus Prime Rescue Trailer (2013; the wings are only the front and sides of the trailer, with the back/top/bottom piece lying being the firehouse), Robots in Disguise One-Step Changer Bisk (2016), Optimus Prime (2013; the PVC figure on the roof), Energize Shark Sub Capture Blades (2015; the PVC figure next to Optimus)

I love how Bisk (a Decepticon) is just hiding on the roof of the firehouse, since there’s literally a whole team of Autobots there to capture and arrest him. (Oh, and let’s not forget that there’s four Optimus Primes…)

Playsets: Griffin Rock Firehouse Headquarters (2016), High Tide Rescue Rig (2015)

The Rescue Rig comes with a transforming figure of High Tide (one of my favorite Rescue Bots, by the way), but he’s inside the ship. It also came with cardboard standees of Cody Burns and Servo, but I lost those, along with the roof to the back-mounted cage.

Atop the Garage (and Next to It): Optimus Primal (2014; the giant guy in the back), Energize Optimus Prime (2012), Energize Bumblebee (2012), Rescan Series Quickshadow (2016), Rescan Series Bumblebee (2014; the smaller motorcycle Bee next to Quickshadow), Epic Figures Quickshadow (2017; the giant one standing between the garage and the firehouse)

This is basically all of the “wartime” Autobots that appeared in the show. See, it takes place concurrently with Transformers: Prime and its sequel series, Robots in Disguise, and these are characters from that show that frequently appeared in Rescue Bots. (I say “wartime” because the Rescue Bots are trained to, well, rescue, and not fight Decepticons. As a matter of fact, the only Decepticon to ever be in the show was a Mini-Con named Bounce, and he’s not even confirmed to be one!)

In the Firehouse: Mini-Con Servo (2015), Cody Burns (2016; came with the firehouse)

The Front Row: Rescan Series Salvage (2015), Rescan Series Blurr (2015; stuck in alt-mode because the spoiler lock used to hold him in robot mode is damaged and prevents him from transforming all the way), Hoist the Tow-Bot (2012), Medix the Doc-Bot (2012), Energize Boulder the Construction-Bot (2013), Energize Heatwave the Fire-Bot (2012), Energize Chase the Police-Bot (2012), Energize Blades the Copter-Bot (2013), Rescan Series MorBot (2016; the last Rescue Bots figure I got), Energize Shark Sub Capture (2015)

The front row consists of basically all the main cast members from the original show’s 4 seasons. On the left are the new recruits, Salvage and Blurr, who became recurring characters starting in season 3, as well as Hoist and Medix, who originally (at the time that I got them) were toyline-only characters before becoming two of the five main cast members of Rescue Bots Academy in 2018. Then, in front of the firehouse, we have the original team, formally known as Rescue Force Sigma-17, in the same order as they are in the season 1 intro. At the very end of the line is the MorBot and the Shark Sub, both inventions of Dr. Morocco, a recurring antagonist from season 1 onwards as well as the main antagonist of the show’s two-part finale. The MorBot also doubles as the digital virus recreation of Morocco due to the events of the cartoon, and I still remember seeing the ad for the final episode numerous times while watching the show and being so excited when I saw it. (Look, this is one of my favorite Transformers shows. Don’t judge me.)

This was so fun to make, and now I really wanna get the new Walgreens-exclusive Legacy: Evolution Medix, which is a G1 version of the Rescue Bots character, so I can put him on the shelf with these guys (preferably next to the other Medix).
CreditHasbro, Mastermind Creations, ToyWorld, and NewAge for making these figures (and Toyhax for making the sticker sheets and DNA Design for making Impactor’s upgrade kit)

I agree on the last part, but I did really like RBA, especially the episode where they brought back Laserbeak. To me, it was a perfect example of a Transformers comedy show. One of the only things that bothered me, but that I also eventually warmed up to, was that Optimus and Bumblebee's designs were changed to resemble their evergreen designs as part of Hasbro's push for a more unified look. I would've loved to see their RB designs in the RBA animation style.

Also, if you like Rescue Bots, the leaked listings for the upcoming Legacy: United toyline say there's going to be a Deluxe Class figure of Chase somewhere down the line. I can't wait to see how they mix his design with the G1 design style (if the leaks are true, which they seem to be so far).

They also released a figure of Medix, another Rescue Bot.

Yea I might have to get that Chase figure! I never watched much of the reboot since I didn’t get the same vibes from the OG Show. Plus I didn’t like the redesigns for the characters as well they just looked off in my mind. But over all RB and RBA are good shows!
