Have you ever wondered about Imagination & Creativity? Have you ever gotten mixed up between both concepts? As human beings, we always imagine and create many things everyday in our lives. From Imagining Dragons to Creating Art. Imagination & Creativty, are not the same.

Imagination and Creativity are two seperate concepts, though we believe they are the same because how we think & see them. In most peoples minds, we can imagine being creative. Though it is true imagining can form new ideas which lead to creativity, they are 2 seperate definitions.

Imagination- Imagination is imagining things that aren't real. They are only real to your mind when you think about them. They do not present themselves in reality, but in our minds and thoughts. Imagining is like imagining you can fly, or slay a dragon.

Creativity- This is where they are some what similiar. Creativity is the use of Imagination or Ideas and putting them to work. We are basically actually "creating" something in reality rather then our minds. Creativity is also led to inspiration.

A major difference between Imagination and Creativity is is Imagination is thinkinf of something- such as an object, place, time, etc- But it's not present in reality. But creativity is doing something meaningful or putting your imagination to work by actually creating something. Imagination would be the "Act of bringing things into conscious that aren't here."

Though imagination and creativity are not the same, they are like steps to creating something or doing something.

It Starts with Imagination- Imagination is basically where the ideas start. It doesn't need evidence, and it is all probably fictional inside your conscious. Imagination can be real or not, and can lead you to do things. Imagination is basically the core of creativity. There are many ways to imagine. One way is by story telling. Children often use story telling or plays that evoke their imaginative minds into work. Just as Albert Einstein said, "Play is the highest form of research". But imagination starts ending with we start to apply reason to our ideas, and actually put it to work.

Creativity is where it all happens- Creativity is actually putting your imagination to work! Sure it sounds hard and sounds like you can't probably do it. But nothing is impossible! Just look at the Wright brothers. One of the first people to fly! True, it took severals years constructing and planning in order to fly. But they did it!, didn't they? Though at first it was unstable and hard to control, they finally managed to do it! Imagintion is where it started, and creativity is where it all happened. Creativity helped the push their ideas in order to achieve what they imagined! It also due to the fact they were inspired to do it as well!
