Introduction

In this small blog post I will explain some pretty useful shortcuts that you may or may not know about. This is aimed mainly at the new players, as this will benifit them most. I'm going to try and show what happends when certain keys are pressed using screenshot images and text. This information can be found on the Minecraft wiki, but people don't usually look for it, so I'm creating an easy accessable post.

F3 + H

Item Details

Pressing the H button while holding the F3 button will toggle more details when you hover over the item. It will show you the #ID for each item as well as it's durability. Also, when hovering over a map, it will show you the scale and the level or the map.

F3 + A

Chunk Reload

Pressing the A button while holding the F3 button will reload all the chunk in your world. This is useful if you get chunk errors. You maybe also want to reload the chunks if you're lagging.

F3 + B

Hitboxes

Pressing the B button while holding the F3 button will activate entity hitboxes. These hitboxes show a box around all entities including: dropped items, mobs, players etc. One of the uses I explain in this blog.

Shift Clicking

You can shift click from pretty much anywhere and it will go the opposite inventory slot. What I mean by this is if you're in a chest and you shift click an item it will go to your inventory. Shift clicking an item in the inventory moves it into the furnace, chest, hopper, nchanting table etc. and vice versa.

Shift Up/Down arrow on the server list

When you're in your multiplayer server selection menu you can click on a server, then hold shift and with the arrows, up or down, move the server position accordingly.
