I wasn't even in school when this happened but I can remember my mom turning on the TV an looking at the news. Only one plane had hit so far but shortly after the second one impacted. In social studies we read about what it was like in the dust and haze from the crash, some died from suffocation. And may we never forget the brave firefighters who ran in to save those trapped, and the search teams that had the job of rescuing people in the rubble and also had the sad duty of identifying the mangled bodies of those who had been killed. Last but certainly not least we cannot forget the heroes that came from the crisis, on one of the four planes the passengers banded together and overpowered the terrorists so that they could not claim the lives of more american citizens. We miss them all and we respect them all. May freedom rein forever. god bless america.
