Welcome back, to Learn Redstone in 50 Tutorials, Now on part 2! To begin, in the last tutorial you learned the basic in and out puts. This tutorial is all about how much you will use repeaters, and the magic they do :D. Leto s begin!
Repeater, most people use to set the light of the power back to full strength. In fact, that is one of the least common uses. Really, what a repeater does is delay the circuit and even delay with slight extend to the power. Have you noticed that when you right click a repeater the torches move? The repeater can be set to have delays when you right click. If you just place a repeater it is automatically at 1. Each o ticko as I call it is approximately a quarter second. This ends up being about a second for a full (4 o ticko ) delay repeater. Another use for repeaters is for being used like a lever or button in the circuitry (That is what I call the wiring). By this I mean, not one you press but like one that you press something another thing happens and then powers this repeater that powers something like a button (This actually is considered powering as block, and I will refer to it as that). Only a few more basic things about a repeater left. Power can only travel the way the repeater is facing. This can be identified by the way the arrow is facing. To add on to that, repeaters only receive power from the opposite direction that they are facing (The large part of the arrow). One last thing left to learn! If you dono t want to wires power combining, since repeaters can only take power from the input side you can use the for having wires travel side by side for a bit.
