It's been days since the disappearance of LittleDino, LittleDuck in LittleDina. They were last seen going to the forest outside the city but never returned. The city officials are freaking out, so Diamond and I decide we should search for them while CoCody Colber and GlossyGem remain behind to watch the city.
We're searching the forest all day with little luck. There was no trace of them. Night soon fell.
"What do you think happened to them?" Asks Diamond as she yawns.
"I don't know," I respond.
I'm worried about what would happen to the city without our protectors. With the twenty gone, there was no backup plan, no backup army at the ready. Diamond is now asleep. I wish I were brave like her. I wish I could just tell her the truth. Give her the reason I have been distant. I am afraid of how she will react. I don't want to lose my friend, not that it matters. I'm losing her anyway. The pain is just too strong to get close. But it hurts almost just as much staying away. Oh well, if only I were brave.
Pov LittleDino
We’re arriving at the Domu Library early this morning. Lloyd was hoping to find a special traveler's tea recipe which would take us straight home. One of the monks hands us a book about realm crossing and the sixteen realms. Lloyd skims through it and finds a chapter about Travelers Tea, which holds recipes for variations of travelers' tea for specific realms and locations. Another monk guides us to a shelf holding supplies for various magical teas. There's a man already standing by the shelf, already packing ingredients into his bag.
“Ronin, what are you doing stealing that tea?” Lloyd shouts.
“Well, if it isn’t Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon. Here to try, and bust another one of my operations? If you must know, with Mistaké gone, Black Market magical tea is at its peak” Ronin says while trying to escape.
“Put that tea down, Ronin!” Lloyd yells while shooting a blast of green elemental energy that knocked down the shelf with the remaining tea ingredients, which spilled underneath me and Harumi. A portal formed underneath us, and we fell into it.
“Harumi!!” We hear Lloyd shouting.
Harumi and I land in a forest. The portal closes behind us, I don't recognize where we are. It's too dark to see anything.
“Harumi, listen to me. I know we don’t quite get along, but we need to find somewhere safe to hide. Zombies will surround us soon!” I say.
“Zombies?” Harumi asks suspiciously.
“And other terrifying creatures of the night.” I respond.
“I wish I had brought my weapons.” I tell Harumi.
I grab enough dirt to make us a small hut for the night and block us in. We can hear the sound of Zombies outside.
“Don’t worry we will be fine, Harumi are you okay?” I ask.
She looks at me in silence for a minute, and then starts ranting!
Pov Harumi
“Oh, I’m great!” I scoff.
“Couldn’t be better. You know, let's forget the fact, a portal opened under our feet and now we’re in another world. Not to mention the fact I look like I’m a part of a video game! Nope, couldn’t be better thanks for asking.” I rant sarcastically.
LittleDino looked afraid of me for a moment. I could practically hear Lloyd telling me that I was being rude.
“Sorry.” I say, looking away from LittleDino.
“It’s… It’s okay.” He says hesitantly.
He’s not getting more of an apology than that. Look, I know this isn’t exactly his fault, but unlike him, I didn’t willingly walk through a portal to another world. Seriously! Out of all the things I’ve dealt with, this is one of the strangest. I’ve dealt with skeletons, giant snakes, ghosts, Oni, and now Zombies! LittleDino is informing me they have skeletons too but they’re not boneheads like ours are. Not to mention the other monsters this place supposedly has. Thanks a lot, Ronin!
Hopefully, Lloyd finds more of the traveler's tea and gets me back home. Ninjago is eventful for sure, but at least we don’t have to stay in a dirt house for a night. After a while, I begin to hear an awful sound coming from outside our little dirt hut. It sounded high-pitched and crawling, I broke a hole in the hut only to notice eight glowing red eyes staring back at me.
“Sons of the first spinjitzu master!” I shout, placing the dirt back and stepping away from it as far as I could.
“That’s a spider.” LittleDino says, seeming amused at the fact my heart was racing.
“That’s not a spider, the biggest those things can be is the size of my foot, not the size of me!” I shout.
“I tried to warn you we have terrifying creatures.” LittleDino says shrugging.
“Oh haha. Very funny, like I was supposed to guess giant spiders. How long do we have to be in this delightful dirt hut anyways?” I ask.
“Until it’s morning.”
“How are we supposed to know when that is? Last time I checked we don’t have a clock and making a hole is greeted with eight eyes.”
“You’ll hear the zombies and skeletons burning. That’s how.”
I just stare in confusion, while LittleDino nods his head. As if zombies and skeletons burning is a normal occurrence.
Fun fact: This is my first time writing a story in the present tense. As for my thoughts, I found it quite challenging as I had to correct my grammar multiple times since I would instinctively write something in the past tense. I'm not sure if it's perfect so if you notice any mistakes please let me know so I can correct it.
LittleDino's Fun Fact: ShadowCystal recently went through a name change, his character's name was originally BlueShadow, the in story explanation as to why this is too much contact with amethyst.
