La gente buena de la mañana del PMC. Hoy voy a hablar con usted acerca de hablar otros idiomas. Now, that means 'Good morning people of pmc. Today I will be talking to you about speaking other languages.' Which ios exactly what I will be doing.
First of all, let me state I have nothing against any other race or religon. In fact I think some races are cooler than my own. But let me start my speaking/typing or whatever this may be called. About a few years back I changed schools. Because I got into a higher academic school. So as I moved there I noticed a lot more asians than at my prior school. I wasn't worried at all but as the year continued they started to speak their chinese and those sorts of languages more and more. So some of these people who were my friends were speaking together whilst I was there in another language. I think that I have a right to know what is going on here.
Now I am at a higher grade level and one of my closest friends is Chinese. He speaks mandarin, and when we are hanging out some of my other friends start speaking Mandarin, Cantonese and maybe a few others. This gets frustrating and then I shout at them 'SPEAK ENGLISH! I DON'T UNDERSTAND CHINESE!!!' This is really frustrating as they are my friends and I would like to talk with them together.
Now about a week ago (as I like yugioh) I was playing on an online yugioh site. I was dueling someone who just happened to speak Spanish. So in a matter of minutes whilst thinking about how to win I had to learn Spanish. Also, it wasn't like this site had other language choices, all English. Now this makes me think, if they can go onto this site and understand the English on the cards and most of these people are speaking English then why can't these people who are using other languages. Just being able to understand a few words and excluding the majority of people on a site is unfair. Seeing as Minecraft is mainly popular in the English speaking countries PMC makes you speak English.
Now some of you may think this is unfair because there are lots of people who speak other languages and play Minecraft. But look at it this way. How many people actually on Planet Minecraft speak only that language? Not very many as Minecraft is basically an English only game until recently when languages were added in. Due to this, Planet Minecraft has become mainly English speaking. It is just like saying we are changing the time zone or the side of the road we drive on. Changing or adding more languages would get confusing annoying and that.
Also my friend says it is like the government. They don't give you information on what is happening with new laws. That is what the news is for. If you want to learn about your country watch the NEWS.
Finally multicultralism is great but I just have a problem when an English speaking country and that country's citizen cannot understand what a non-citizen is saying. I mean we (as citizens) deserve more rights than those who aren't citizens. Understanding our country. If one moves here and wants to become a citizen they have to know English as Australia's citizenship test is in ENGLISH. So yeah. Basically I think you should speak the national language (unless your a tourist), and I find it frustrating how people learn basic english for a game and then speak their language so they can play the game.
