Today's topic is, effiecent ways to farm!
Okay, so it is good to know the basics befor you go out and dig holes everywhere, farming in minecraft may look easy, but If you want the best chance of surviving, producing enough food is very important. The first thing you need to know is that one block of water can hydrate up to 4 blocks away, so if we do the math, up and down it can reach 9 blocks, (including source) and side to side 9, we multiply that and get 81, subtract the source block, and you can harvest 80 wheat at once! Would you rather make a dinky village farm and get maybe 28 wheat, or A not much bigger and very efficent 80 wheat farm! On top of that, This kind of farm is easy to add on to. Take away all the fence on one side, go five out from the middle, and dig down one block there, that hydrates the 9x9 area next to the original farm, fence it in, and get up to 160 Wheat every harvest!

Well, I havent updated in a while, but I would like to anounce 30 subs on the channel! Thanks for the support! Anyway, even if my YouTube upload history dosen't show it, I am still into minecraft and will update this blog more often.

So, the catching up aside, I have been thinking of some cool project or server Ideas, and I am very willing to share them! If you do end up using one, tell me in the comments so I can play on it too!

1 - RPG - I was thinking mainly medeivel, but a sci - fi RPG map would be cool. It dosen't have to be a server either, just a project would be cool. I find myself atempting this kind of thing a lot, but bailing on it after awhile. If you do make this, let me know!

2 - Ships - This is another one I find myself starting and not finishing. Building Ships (Again, Sci - FI or Medievel) would be a realy cool Project or Group server Idea.

3 - A Towny Server - If you don't know, Towny is a pluggin for minecraft servers that allows players to start a town, build roads and dominate the competition, some suggestions if you want to start a server like this:

A - Make it quite expensive to start a town. Do this because you don't want random dirt house villages sprouting up. A towny server is fun with aggressive competiton between a handful of towns and two or three Nations.

B - Allow War. The possibility of war or your civilization being destroyed influences how one sets up diplomatic relations and their town. Towns also look better when this is enabled, because unorginized towns are hard to defend and easy to pick off. A town using full chunks for roads and with districts for ceartin things is much more likely to survive a battle than one with farms next to residential homes, or a forge near the weak side of a wall.

C - Control what people can name their town. This works well because most people wouldn't mind doing this. If people are naming their town or nation something stupid, they most likely aren't taking this seriously. If someone wants to start a town for themselves so they can't get robbed, make them name their town "So and so's plantation" or, "So and So's Farm" etc. this makes new players able to efficently find a town they can join and stick with them.

D - Have a live map. There are two reasons to have a live map, one being they are just so cool. The second one is city building strategy. If you have a good idea where your rivals are building their nation or town, you can claim land acordingly. If "The Glorious Empire" is claiming the south, Then "The New Alliance" Needs to move west to stunt their rivals growth.

Actually, I could say a lot about towny, but lets save that for another time!

Sorry for not updating, but I haven't done anything on my channel either lately. I have been doing alot and working on other things. Anyway, today I want to talk about lag, and how to solve it.

Java and YOU!     Java is the programming language Minecraft is coded in, so a more efficent version of that would make your Minecraft run 10 fold! (Java Download)  <------ Click here for an updated version of java!

Video Settings      Go to options on your main menu, find "Video Settings" and decrease your render distance, increase the maximum Fps, Decrease the light level, or turn off clouds and particles, if this dosen't help, 64 bit Java could be your only option.

If this stuff didn't help you stop herding 90 cows in a 3x3 area. Seriously, if this dosen't help you, you need a better computer.

                                                       10/17/14
Today were talking about building: specificly, how to add detail. In a few words: never stop, but don't over sell it.

One good way to add detail is to over lap roof tops. If you allready didn't know, stairs are great to roof tops, because they change depending where you put them. Also, if you want a cool roof, think about the shape of your house first, because that ultimatly decides how many decisions you can actualy make with a roof. If your current home is a square, try expanding in the front and back to make the roof jut out more, or just have a patio or front entrance way that is covered by your roof.

If you have many levels on your house, try to make the top part smaller for a small skirt on the second floor. this can add flare to any home, whether it be a miners shelter, a hunters shack, or a five story mansion. Also remember to add some of nature to your home with flowers and dyes, and make sure you use those armor stands and banners!

                                                       10/16/14
Today we discus the new decorative items and blocks in 1.8 - The banner, armor stand, and the new stone variants.

The Banner- With over a quadrillion diffrent combos, the new, colorful banners are super cool! I use them to mark teritory in my single player world, but they also look great in creative builds.

The Armor Stand- Finaly, a way to parade and display armor, or just decorate a house with your old armor. I personaly put them near my fireplace, which looks pretty nice.

Granite- The new orangish, redish variant of stone looks cool in regular or smooth form. I use it for my kitchen counter.

Diorite and Andesite- I havent realy experimented with these new stones, but I will soon. But in the meantime, why don't you guys see what you can do and tell me about it!

                                                       10/15/14
Today, were talking to hunters, about the new mobs in 1.8! Baisicly, How to hunt them, the bonuses of hunting them, and how many food points they restore. Lets start with bunnies. These wascly wabbits spawn very rarely it seems. I may live in the wrong biome, but I have only found one, when I was looking for a place to build my home, (I will cover that tomorow, for you building guru's out there!) in a snow biome. Things to note: One, it hops, making it kind of difficult to hit, and Two, there is a very, very small chance of being a killer bunny, which attacks you, and its very dangerous. When you kill one, you have a chance of getting a rabbits foot, (I will cover it soon for Potion Brewers) and rabbit meet, which, when cooked, will restore three hunger, and rabbit hide, which works just like cow leather.

Allright, now a small update for sheep. when you kill sheep, you get mutton (FINALY) which restores three hunger as well. It's not much, but if you live by hunting, one piece of food can make a huge diffrence. Anyway, this is TogetherTurtle signing off, Seeya!
