Disclaimer: The blog image is made from novaskin.me.
Making a little blog just so I can post Minecraft skin renders on here. I'm practicing Blender for fun and trying to figure out the best lighting and camera angles. I might (most likely will) use this blog for request examples as well. I hope you all enjoy it! If you do have tips and/or tricks, I am always open to hearing them.
All renders are at 1920 x 1080 pixels.

What I can do in Blender so far:
  • any type of posing
  • any type of camera angles
  • light angles

What I am learning and working on so far:
  • backgrounds
  • lighting
  • day/night scenery

Poses

Examples with Ambient Occlusion and without Ambient Occlusion
With Ambient Occlusion and lighting at 2.0 strength (great for your PMC profile.)Minecraft Blender Rendering Practice
Without Ambient Occlusion and lighting at 5.0 strength (good for making banners, thumbnails, adding a model to a scenery)

Dynamic Lighting with Objects
The only light source in this render is the Torch

Scenes
A scene that took 10 and a half minutes to render, and took me at least 2 hours to figure out lighting, camera angle, adding background, and making sure it looked good in the render. RIP to my GPU

Commissions I've done

For who

I've made this for gr1mg0r3 since they were so kind to make me a skin that I requested (and it's so adorable)
I've made this for DinowCookie because she's been super helpful to the community (and myself,) as well as just being awesome in general.

Hello! Long term blender user here, I'd recommend learning the program and all it's basics with the "Blender 2.8 Donut Tutorial" by Blender Guru on youtube, making good renders requires good knowledge of the program

Heyo, if you need any help with figuring out some lighting and compositing with Blender, I'm willing to help you out if you need. All of my renders are done in blender as well, so I hope I could be of at least a little use.

Yeah I can help here in a little bit, though I have to get back to work soon, so it would either have to be in 5 to 6 hours, or tomorrow, Your choice.
