My idea is for a mod which adds physics based on scientific laws and theories. Heat, gravity, motion, force, buoyancy, and many other concepts would apply. This mod would work in Minecraft because Minecraft Physics need improving and you could change them without changing the infamous mobs and cool graphics of the game.

Firstly, Minecraft's gravity would need a major overhaul. While cliffs could still stand due to the force of their solid attachment to the blocks next to them, floating blocks would fall. You could give certain blocks, such as bedrock, the ability to float, along with the possibility of zero gravity chambers, or the ability to remove gravity from a block. Floating properties of blocks would still work with the law of gravity because since bedrock is impossible to break it must be incredibly dense, which would make it insusceptible to gravity. Arches would still work as long as their support was strong enough. For example, you could have stone holding up a lot of wood but wood couldn't hold up a lot of stone.

Another concept that would be nice in the game is similar to gravity in that objects can be broken by other objects falling on them. For example, if you dropped stone on some wooden planks, they might crack, changing their appearance and reducing their foundation. Another drop by a heavy object could break the planks. If these planks were holding something up, it could cause quite a disaster. This would also take the function of explosions, particularly creeper explosions, to a new level.

Like the force of gravity other forces would be present. Air pressure in rooms, the ability to push blocks, and the fact that your character could only carry so much heavy junk. Right now the Minecraft inventory is solely based on space. In addition to that, the character would only be able to carry a certain amount of weight. For example, you could carry more wood than stone. An object's weight would vary on it's material, hollowness, and other important factors. You could carry more wooden planks than wood blocks because the separate planks have more air in between them. Too much weight could hinder your character's movement, or even hurt them.

Heat is another big thing that needs to be added to Minecraft. The closer you are to lava and light sources the hotter it would become. Weather would become important in this, having hotter and colder days in addition to temperature by biome. Rain would cool things down, while fires heat you up. If you're too hot, you could perhaps become ill and lose health, and being too cold could make you slower, unable to sprint, and hungrier. Certain foods such as meat would heat you up while milk, fruit, and potions would cool you down. New items such as medicines might be needed to increase or decrease heat.

Illness should also be implemented. The ability, especially in Multiplayer, to catch disease could truly keep players on the alert. Say you get attacked by a zombie. You kill the zombie, and the next day your character's movement becomes hindered, and you get an infection status. Now, until it wears off, which might take a couple of Minecraft days, or until you use a cure, the disease effects you. Disease could also be caused by harsh temperatures, and being near a sick player or villager. This would also implement cures.

Other concepts, such as which blocks are buoyant (whether they float), along with a blocks falling speed, force, and ability to crush other blocks and stand heat would vary between every block and item. Delicacy with items such as gold and glass could also be expanded on, such as breaking when dropped or iron armor rusting. The possibilities with an addition like this would be endless. Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed my ideas. If you liked it, a diamond would be appreciated.
